shrub mods ruined W:ET, and there was only 1 mod for QW, no one embraced custom maps in QW 'cause they weren’t ranked and e-peen is everything in computer games

to be fair I also think it had to do with game’s stability when running custom maps. I’d typically need to restart the game to launch one, afair. Also, they came out just half a year too late: too few people were interested for more people to join.

nah, people didn’t play custom maps because they didn’t rank up, heck a player built pro mod came out before Lack o’vision even let SD release theirs

I felt pain for guys like Chris who spent a huge amount of personal time mapping for a game who’s publishers could care less

when your publisher offers no support, then erases the entire forum (which was outstanding in it’s technical content) you pretty much know you bein flushed

at least Bethes meh left the Brink forum up, but not one question was answered by Bethesda, ever

btw, this is why a bunch of us old farts insisted on keeping a little forum at SD

permanent online ranking is poopy, I’d rather have how much you spent as a stat or how long you played to get that nice jumper
