of course, SD is being VERY vague about the future gameplay direction of XT, and the game has currently a direction i strongly dislike.
In the forums they don´t give out detailed information, so i have to ask per PM.

I’m 99.9% they won’t give that much (if any) extra info just because it’s a PM. If they wanted you to know the answer, they’d tell you on the forum.

I´m always perfectly calm :wink:

But i have been nice for first weeks, but after SD started to do the exact opposite of what i suggested, i started to get “a little” pissed.

Now i don´t care anymore, and just want to know if there will be woth playing in the future, or if i can ask for a refund.

I think it’s quite clear that SD have a design plan in mind and they’re going along that general route if it conflicts with your desires or not, and shouting and raving isn’t going to change that one single bit. I’ve decided to ‘ride it out’ and see where it goes and occasionally offer some input. If I were you I’d get over the idea very quickly that a single person is going to have any major sway on the games design.

Ohm, you think SD does exactly what you want or ask for?
If so, I want SD to gift me a nice house (at least 4 rooms and 150m² living space, ground should be 600m² incl garden) and a brand new BMW M4 in the configuration I want :smiley:

Fun is subjective. Your type of fun might not be somebody else’s.

Sorry, i expected an “highly competetive PC FPS” and “new, old school FPS”, etc.

And clearly that is not happening now, i am seeing a new CoD-clone.

I asked for the same things as other competetive players, and we are getting ignored without a comment.
Of course some of us are getting pissed. I have seen for example a lot of players from Bumblebee and playingDucks here.
Where are they now? I´m sure they have drawn the same conclusions, but i am a litte more persistent about it.

The problem is that we don’t even know what kind of FPS you want.
I found that there is a lack of passion from SD behind DirtyBomb, it’s why I don’t like AAA games and prefer Indie games.
They have a vision on what game they want to make, and not only on how attract the most of players possible.

Closed Beta, GREAT!
Hope all known bugs and glitches will be fixed before the closed beta will be launched.
Got some questions:

  • Do we, as alpha testers, get the opportunity to invite our friends (like 5?) to the closed beta? Would be very nice, since I have lots of friends who would love to try this game out!

  • Will it be possible to add my Extraction name to my existing Nexon username c.q. account?

  • Will EVERY username be available upon closed beta (i.e. new database for Extraction alone)?

  • Will the VIP extra’s be avi when closed beta arrives?

No information about how fast or slow they want to make the game.

Perhaps this would be a good time to update the “Roadmap” for us :]

Going to “Closed Beta” absolutely makes sense, the game is entering an infrastructure testing phase with the move to Nexon. “Closed Beta” doesn’t even mean much of a bigger audience, just enough to test the backbone of the service.

I feel like its almost pointless to proceed with developing Xt if there is not going to be a built in ladder/tournament system. Am I really going to have to install mIRC again to find a scrim? If that is going to be the case, SD is missing a HUGE opportunity. Leaving organized competitive play up to the players/teams is just plain FAIL. Some hugely drastic changes are going to need to be made to Xt’s competition features if its going to make it past the $$$ tourneys.

I actually prefer to get scrims from IRC, I often find matchmaking to be terrible most of the time. At least if I arrange the scrim, I have nobody to blame but myself.

It’s still not a great tool of introduction for players transitioning from other games. It’s fun, personal, but not very modern.

Not to say it can’t coincide, but having something built in is pretty important.
