[QUOTE=Silvanoshi;521947]Today’s update focused solely on fixing the big issues that popped up from last week’s test, and improving MM/the back-end service. Those looking for the change log can find it here:

The first training-video was great. Good job there.
Its great to teach people how DB is different from other games, and remove frustration, rage from finding it out on a server, and not knowing what is going on.
So great decision there, to include training #1
However:
I think SD needs to communicate better what you can play in DB.
There is a line of text underneath each mode.
Sorry but it is a bit unrealistic to expect
- people to see the text
- to even understand fully what the mode is, even if they read it
So what is objective? What is stop watch? (Many people dont even know what match making is)
Why use server browser? Why not use it?
What mode is for fun?
What mode can I just leave whenever?
What mode is for clans / competetive solo players?
What mode is for clans / competetive team players?
What mode is 20 min gametime?
What mode is 40 min gametime?
What mode gives coins / game currency?
etc…
Just for fun, try make it (the communication of menus) designed for 5 year olds. Im not saying people are stupid.
Im saying, not everyone will take time to learn what “the heck” each thing is.
So instead of inventing names (or using old names, that are to unknown to 99% of the future playerbase), just try to make is self-explanatory.
So yes, a complete-redesign of the “play” GUI areas is what I am suggesting.
On almost every stream I’ve watched, nobody knows what they click on in the “play” area.
More confusion = More players playing a mode they dont wanna play = More rage = Less fun = More ragequits/uninstalls
It may be 100% obvious to devs and regulars what things are and where they are in the menu, and that is fine as long as only devs and regulars play.
Add 5000 new players into the mix, and you have chaos and rage/uninstalls faster than you can blink.
Hope this reply helped.
Try check mobas, cs:go, or other matchmaking games how they present their playareas.
