Also proxy moves too fast. Shotguns are far too OP when you can quickly peek around a corner to blast someone’s head off and then jump back into said corner without any risk of getting shot.

There are Aus servers when the server browser comes online. Matchmaking configuration is quite complex, for this test it’s set up for Europe and North America. Better Aus implementation is something we’ll be looking at a bit further down the line.

Having the K/D in there somewhere hasn’t been 100% ruled out, but we did want to remove it for the time being to see what the general playerbase makes of that.

Its amusing that splash damage cant get it right for such a long time. There are only 7 mercs at the moment and there is a problem with more than 50% of them. I will mention for like 100th time that most people are literally unkillable on health station.

Nice to see matchmaking in place, though I’d question the purpose of matchmaking an objective mode game - by the time you wait to get 10 players, join the lobby, lock in, load the map, F6 to ready, run through the intro - you’re matching the playtime for the first objective, which if the defense holds means you’re spending half your time just getting into a game.

So - either reduce the number of steps to get into a game or add a second map (perhaps switching the def/off around) to the objective mode matchmaking. Personally though I’d just leave matchmaking for SW only games, and have the server browser for Objective.

On the K/D not appearing during the match, big thumbs up. Fine having it at the end of the match.

Echoing what others have said about Aura, really frustrating playing against teams with two or three of this class.

Final point, really concerned at the lack of any significant map changes.

healing station is particularly strong now cause most of AOE mercs are out of play. Stoker & Nader are Aura’s natural counters

TTK, maybe a tad short? I feel like it’s not too far off though and certainly no drastic changes are needed.

I still don’t understand the reasons for limiting your selection to 3 mercs. You have 5 different merc types (totally not classes ;D) and I cannot tell you how many times I’ve wanted to go sniper in a few instances, but couldn’t because you would never know you would need one until you do. Replying to this with “well it’s your own damn fault then” isn’t a practical or rational reason. The only real reasons I’ve heard before (probably my fault as I’m sure there is a reason) was for hardware reasons, which was then shot down as not the real reason a few posts later.

3 mercs means you have to build a strategy with your TEAM. This isn’t a solo game. This is a team game. Build your selection around what your team has.

So all of a sudden, 5 mercs to choose from removes all teamwork? Hardly. There’s just too much pre-planning that slows down how long it takes me to get in-game, I’m not robbing a bank or anything. Am I seriously alone here?

no totally not.
i certainly wouldnt have any problems with a limbo menu ala et/rtcw where you can choose from ALL available mercs and classes all the time.
