wait, how many times did DB update last year? like 10 times? I still feel like I’m playing the same game I was playing a year ago with a UI update, welp we’ll see if next update fails to deliver or not, but im guessing by the size of all the previous updates it will

I read if you post 10 times in 10 days obliquely asking for the same thing, it will happen. It was in The Secret and if it’s in a best seller, it must be true. When the game is updated, we will all have xdc to thank for his hard work.

Well I believe the 80-20 rule or the Pareto principle can be applied here, so 80% of a game gets made in 20% of the time, the remaining time is spend on making smaller changes and maintaining the existing game (e.g. bug fixing and performance optimization), so you should not expect any dramatic changes. Adding to that, we are really participating in a beta: SD gives us limited versions of the game (without all mercs nor all maps), I guess so we can test more deliberately. If SD would give us everything they had the game would probably feel a lot different, but a lot of those mercs and maps are either tested enough or under reconstruction.

it can be ill-advised to release such lists to the public. It creates expectations that will be not met, seeing as such lists are likely to change over time. I agree it would be nice to know what the immediate priority is

I just got back after a long break from the game and now I’m confused. Is the closed beta over? I can’t seem to download the game even though I redeemed my code. I’m sure it’s been asked a million times but I’d just like confirmation.

We’re still in the “weeks” window, and yes there’ll most certainly be more keys going out. Anyone who signed up prior to the 15th of January this year will receive access to the closed beta :).
