Yeah I did it. Got some mad fragments after cleaning up my loadout inventory.
Then I realize recycling duplicates includes Special Edition Loadout cards.
Thank you SD! My fragger loadout turned to dust! I was use to just you know the normal stuff before being able to recycle Special Edition cards.
Oh well a warning for everyone else who forgets about this.
I think they stated that special editions would also be recycled in an update video months ago.
Have you tried to open a support ticket? Technically it shouldn’t be that difficult to re-add a Special Edition loadout to your account and reduce your fragments by the appropriate amount.
Just gonna leave some “LOL” here, just because it fits.

Nicely played, RLY!. If I hadn’t seen this topic, I’d still expect the “recyle-duplictes” to only recycle low-quality-stuff, as it did “before”, and was explained in a tooltip. Now, after taking some glimps on it, we got some fresh and nice icons showing us, it’s a duplicate card, but it won’t mention what card will be trashed by “recycle duplicates”.
