Clearly it's not working.

Anti cheat and reporting players in this game is a joke.

Last few weeks I have been getting more and more frustrated with cheaters in this game.
Have been seeing more and more cheaters and the facts don’t lie that there are cheats out there that are not detected by the anti cheat.

In the last discussion I started dirt bomb mod told me to quit the game after reporting a cheater and I found out this is not a solution because the next server has cheaters in it just the same.
I am talking about lvl 5 Skyhammers lvl 7 Aura’s lvl 3 arty’s that are playing and having 20k xp points within a few minutes and are clearly cheating not to mention lvl 8 proxy’s who have 68/12 kd ratio’s and are clearly cheating.
Aimbot no spread wallhack it is all being done right now.
The most ridiculous is the people on this forum who say that what I am taking about is fake, they are probably the ones using the cheat that can not be detected.
Clearly something needs to be done and I need a better solution than just to stop playing after reporting because playing 3x a day for 20 min doesn’t cut it for me.
People that doubt me try to search dirty bomb cheat on youtube and you will be overflown with tutorials on how to get cheats for this game.

“they are probably the ones using the cheat that can not be detected.”

how do you stop it then ?

(tranquilCover) #3

How other games do it actual people in the server who can check it in spectator mode and make a video showing and proving the cheat.

Instead of passive with an anti cheat that is unable to detect all cheats.

You can still submit video evidence. If you’re on reading this on this forum, which you are, there’s a “Support” button at the top. Click that, then “Report Abuse.” Honestly though I don’t see how that’s more effective than an automated system. Not a whole lot of people are willing to make a video and submit a report. I’ve only done that once, and I assume most people haven’t done it ever.

(tranquilCover) #5

well clearly we have to agree to disagree on that DB is not the only fps I play, and what do you think is more effective a anti cheat system that can be beat and have I estimate 2 or 3 people working on that or a whole community of players that are willing to do whatever it takes to put an end to cheating?

Saying to players “just report them and stop playing” is not a solution.

(Dr_Plantboss) #6

There is no solution. If you can’t handle hackers, don’t play PvP games.

Otherwise, just report the daylights outta them sons a’ b****es!

(tranquilCover) #7

Saying there is no solution is even worse it’s like what db turned into now you can’t even play more than 1 game in the same server because everybody rq after 1 game.

There needs to be some common ground in the community for players who see that there is a problem and want to have a solution for it.

The fact that some players simply don’t care or agree with dirty bomb that there is no solution are just being held dumb, also people saying that there is no solution are kidding themselves.

(SnakekillerX) #8

Look, you want something done, and say there is a solution, yet provide no real solution.

Also, providing video evidence from your end on a player is less effective than just reporting them, as sending a report from in game provides all the information from that game (server, time, etc) and the devs can even watch a demo recording of that match which gives them the ability to see every second of the game from the perspective of any player they want.

This is much more accurate/effective as they can use the whole match as reference to decide if the player is in fact cheating, or if they just got a lucky kill once or twice.

You claim you saw a level 8 proxy with a score of 68/12 and say “clearly cheating”. I feel like you just assume because of their good K:D ratio and low level that this player MUST have been cheating, with little regard to other things like… was this player using a smurf account? was this player just really good and everyone else just really bad?

You say you see more and more people over the last few weeks cheating, but I haven’t come across a single one in probably over a month or two and I play pretty often.

I’m not saying there aren’t cheaters, but I will say that the majority of people who get called out for cheating aren’t.

(GatoCommodore) #9

lel i havent even see cheater in Asia these couple of weeks

maybe some high pinged players with weird late damage registration but not actual cheater.

also, a big K/D doesnt mean someone is cheating
might be a smurf.

i also dont stop playing when i found real cheater.
i whine at the forum when i found one.

(supergonzo) #10

From my experience creating support tickets with video evidence is just a waste of time.
I found multiple cheaters still playing/cheating after months.
Nexon dont give a shit about closet cheaters with few/no ingame reports because they are not invasive enough.

(blufflord) #11

pls someone tell me where i find these cheater? I met barely 8 hackers or so in ~1000hrs of the game

(watsyurdeal) #12

Or…not everyone is cheating, but it looks that way cause you need to get better.

I’ve seen Twitch videos of players discretely hacking… Further into this, I’m chasing evidence that developers’ only real recourse is reactive investigation into cheating reports. That’s why the “in-game cheating report” function is there, and is promoted by SD. W hen a report gets submitted, logs are generated both server side and client side and is internally investigated. (ever notice server performance issues? Yep, cheating reports were there and has swamped the server). Who’s full time job is it really to do an investigation for cheating on F2P games? I mean, surely, they’ll get swamped with reports that’s why the action is so slow. The only ones that get removed from the quickly enough are those that incur multiple reports on short notice (ie, blatant cheaters). A closet cheater definitively has the upper hand on these things cause unless you have sufficient experience to detect the cheat (ie, damage/no-spread/no-recoil/high hit percentage hacks using the Timik, M4, Stark, BR-16, Remburg, Anhuld or Hollunds shotgun), you won’t suspect it.

1000 hours of DB. Met around 5-10 cheaters. Obvious ones. Have been called a cheater maybe 50 times. And I am not even good.
Draw your conclusions.

Reporting doesn’t help **it 'cos it’s too easy to make new Steam troll account and start butthurt all over again.

(GatoCommodore) #17

try making a bunch of steam account for a mere cheap half an hour enjoyment of progression

(tranquilCover) #18

Clearly people are getting away with cheating maybe some spend 50 euro per week on dirty bomb buy founders packs and just play with wallhack and try to hide it.

I come with obvious solutions, for instance, I don’t believe for a second that reporting a player allows dirty bomb crew to check a whole match from any players point of view simply because there is not even a demo option in dirty bomb so how are they supposed to see anything. So the solution is to implement such a feature a.s.a.p and have actual moderaters in servers looking at games while they are being played instead of checking if a reported player has anti cheat running or not.

The only thing dirty bomb crew has is some anti cheat and they can basically see if someone has it running or not.

i knew a guy who spend like hundreds of australian dolaridoos and a malaysian player spending so much money (i know because that guy have a bunch of cobalt on level 10) and they are also toggling
apparently 2 of those guys were banned after a security patch.

so…spending money for dirty bomb and then cheating is not a really good idea.

also, people who paid for founder’s pack probably has a lot of experience since he playe a very long time ago. very unlikely to cheat because they already good at it, why bother cheating.

also, i remember sometime ago the devs having a system that tracks firefights in the map, what i also notice, the system tracks the hits on player and spread and other stuff to balance the map so the firefight are more spread out in the map and not just on one area
i think they track the matches with this system. (i forgot the name of the video)

there wil always be hackers and cheaters in any games literally.
even CSGO tournament sometimes detect 1-2 people using wallhack.

people in life always try to get the easy way, but i have grown tired on using cheats back when im playing GTA Vice City

so you’re saying Founders use wallhacks ?
