Decerto: v. (Latin) to contend, fight to the finish

Overview:

6 arena dueling map, made for 1 v 1 and 2 v 2 dueling. Frostbite and Supply Depot extracts are made specifically for team drills. Hidden arena exists for tweaking sensitivity and practicing target tracking. The 4 main dueling arenas have different themes to allow for a bit of variety. Spectator area allows for spectating two arenas at a time. You can use the spawn flags to spawn at a specific pair of arenas.

Time Limit: 60 minutes

Ideal team size: 1 v 1 and 2 v 2

Find a dueling partner and ready up at the console

Pick one of 4 dueling arenas or use one of the two team drill arenas

Credits:

  • Concept development and extensive testing: Demanufacturer and the Modus-Operandi team
  • Frostbite extract: Moonkey for the original and permission to include it
  • Supply Depot extract: Ginc for the original and permission to include it
  • Menzel, Mean Mr. Mustard, Cptn Triscuit, and Seven_DC for other original work from Vengeance, Breakout, Rommel, and Reactor which was used in the 4 arenas
  • WP 222 model and permission to mod the skins: Detoeni

Instructions:

  • Find a duel partner and choose an arena
  • Stand in the staging area, and activate the panel to ready up
  • Once the second player readies up (or you ready up a second time) the combatants will be teleported into the arena
  • If you are a solo player, you will need to wait 5 seconds before readying up a second time
  • Once all players leave an arena, the staging area will reset

Known issues:

  • Sometimes you can see parts of other arenas - do not be frightened
  • On occassion, two people will ready up, you will hear all the prompts, but the teleporters will not fire and the gates will drop. Just ready up again.

Change Log:

B1 to B2

  • Balanced all 4 arenas to improve connectivity and eliminate advantages from one starting point or another
  • Added objectives to the Supply Depot and Frostbite extracts, which will make the arena reset once completed
    = Supply Depot, allied engy must build crane controls
    = Frostbite, allies must grab documents and take then to a return point under the arch or by the allied spawn
  • Added a hidden arena for people to tweak sensitivities and practice target tracking
  • Both gates now rise up when an arena counts down to go active, to prevent people from accidentally running into the teleport field
  • Added gun racks with the opposing sides SMGs in case you want to swap out weapons
  • Other little things here and there
  • ETPro shaders baked into main pk3 file.

This is a great idea Ifurita for a map, well implemented as well. I love the signs you chucked in and it all works well for me :clap: The only things I can think to add is in the main spawn part, add a glass texture where you look out into each of the sections, the first thing I did was try to jump straight into each of the sections.The other thing is maybe add some teleporting type of sound each time u have to teleport.

ROFL. The mysteries of caulk. I actually did have glass at one point, for exactly those reasons, but it impedes your view, so I pitched it. You teleport at ‘fight’
