would be cool if someone posts pics of the different backpacks of each class

Class-Specific Gloves
Nice research, Herr Luftwaffle : )
You’re quite correct, the class gloves are for first person rather than third, and they’re more of a fun bit of detail/subtle hint than a primary indicator. If you’re holding certain weapons, or a weapon with a vertical front grip for instance, all you can see of your class glove is your thumb. If there is a game where you can accurately gauge your class by gazing at your thumb, we haven’t played it. So in Brink the main reminder for what class you currently are is the class icon displayed in the upper left of the HUD.
As for enemy players, you can easily tell what class they are by the cunning expedient of just looking at them. Their class icon pops up right alongside their health bar. HUD icons get a bad press, but they have the useful ability of always facing you and always being visibly lit. In the end clarity was the over-riding priority : )
You stay Classy, SD Forum.
Notheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeng is final!

Thanks for the confirmation on the third person gloves, Bongoboy.
And here’s a picture of the Security Operative gloves that are actually recognizable. These may be a bit different from the current ones, as they were taken from a very old video, but upon closer inspection, they look to be very similar or the same.
Sharp Eye!
I saw early on people posted that the gloves didnt fit the character but thought it was just early beta or a First Person vs 3rd Person.
Good to see it all makes more sense than i had originally thought. Standard Splash Damage stuff. I shoulda guessed they had a reason.
