I started by making 4 specialised classes, 2 dual class then a jack of all character.
I wish I’d done a jack of all on my first run, it seems more fun but it’s also hard to know exactly what skills you want without trying them out first.
I’d recommend respecing at 21. This way you can still pick level 5 abilities, and it’s a shorter run to get from 20 to 21 again than 23 to 24.
P.S. How much XP is required for level 24 (and 22 and 23)? I think 20 to 21 is 42000 (300000 to 342000).
total is 503250, iirc. ends up being something like 42k (21), 48k (22), 54k (23) 60k (24)…give or take a few k.
if someone knows the actual numbers, they should update the wiki.
I was using the high cap too up until the DLC dropped, now have switched to drum mags. There are a certain group of players I’ve faced that are nigh impossible to beat or kill and they use the drums. So I am trying to see what the heck they’re doing with them that makes them so unstoppable. :o
hmmm
My favorite class is Soldier…
I have 4 complete chars with the soldier as 2th class
All Characters have all Abillitys…
Amyone here use more than 4 Chars?..

This might sound a n00by question but iv never respeced before.
After you respec you loose a level there for you loose an ability point. But when you level back up will you gain the ability point back?
For instance you respec at lvl 20 so you drop to level 19 and loose the ability point. But when you level back to 20 will you get the ability point again?

That’s correct. I assume the basis for it was that Characters at 20 couldn’t immediately respec their Level 5 Abilities back before the Agents of Change DLC.
I can confirm that you can still level up again and regain the level credit. Though you also re-lock your Level 20 customisation options as well, even if you have other characters at level 20. Very odd.

Thanks man yeh it confused me a bit thanks for clearing that up for me.
As long as changing Character in between maps isn´t possible ( during a map would be b*****t ) its unseless to “may out” one Class imo.
Usually one doesn´t use alle the Abilities and unlocks. Some may be nice and poweful but still not used often.
U can only have 3 abilyslots filled. So you need to wisely choose anyway here.
U should be prepaired to change to Obj. class
Theres a diffence between playing the class as itself or for the obj.
Operative for exaple: i have 2 addtions at this class that help me to do hackobjectives. the rest i dont cara cos i´m not playing OP exept for Objective and when i´m after the Obj. i don´t take the time to do all the fancy stuff thats possible with this class.
Same for soldier : Ojective-class for me so just some more pyronades to clear the field.
Medic and Engie are my Playingclasses that i use independent from Obj. so i have all the goodies that I like most and suite my playstyle for these two.
So its neither "Jacck-off-al"l or “one-maxed-out” , its two just for Obj. and two well equipped.

Yes. See sig.
It will just be their aim, you should be able to kill someone in at least 20 bullets, usually less, so it doesn’t really matter once your above 35 per clip imo and the high cap has a load less negative stats than the drum mag.
Since iv been on this forum iv noticed quite a few people run a “dual” class character. Where as I have just dumped all my points into Engineer and im wondering if I have made a mistake…
What’s everyone’s views? Do you run a dual class or have 1 specialisation maxed out?
i maxed class is always a mistake, IMO. in fact jack of all trades (mixed abilities over all classes) is usually the best IMO. you are more versatile and its much easier to adapt to what needs doing.
in far too many games you see people unwilling to swap to the needed class as they dont have any abilities for that class.
many abilities are pretty useless or very limited in scope.
if you want dual classe setups i would go for:
medic/operative
soldier/engineer
that way you have attacking and defensive capabilities for your characters. i tried different combinations but i find this works best for me
i currently have (all level 20+):
op/medic
soldier/engi
light jack
medium jack
heavy jack
to me thats pretty much all bases covered

Yeh sounds pretty reasonable. I just got my char to level 20 ill respec when I get 21 and change him from pure engineer to a Engineer/Soldier I think then start on my second char =D
