Things I would like to know:

Soldier’s ammo piercing armor: Does the soldier always have this ammo if this ability is chosen, or do you have to give yourself ammo in order for it to work?

Soldier’s kevlar: Is it the same as the kevlar buff an engi can give to teammates?

Why do molotov’s do so little damage?

Based on the dev posts I’ve read here:

  1. You always have armor piercing ammo. You don’t have to give yourself ammo for this to work. A lot of soldiers give themselves ammo buff right out the gate though for the extra mag.

  2. Kevlar…it’s not the same. The buffs can stack together. Base damage reduction is 20% when you have the passive soldier ability and increases to 30% when you receive the engie buff on top.

  3. Molotovs do so little dmg because they are really designed to knock people down. Similar to frags, but explode on impact and have higher chance of knockdown.

Molotovs take longer to come out as well, when compared to normal frags.
