even with 20 members i think were still one of the biggest.
Clans
just to show that you are changing what people in your clan SAY on other forums all the time.
also, unit-13 has claimed to be a multiplatform clan with “factions” on xbox360, PS3, and the PC. how do you plan to do so with only 20 members?
20/3= ~6 in each faction…
besides, it’s clearly stated that if Defiant Dead aren’t your ally then we’re your rival. Seeing as you have Security forces in your clan, makes us uninterested in an alliance, meaning we’ve got you in our crosshairs.

Why are you targeting Unit-13? It’s not like they come on here and said a bunch of elitist comments. Your hatred or bias or whatever towards them seems baseless.
no hatred. it’s a game.
should i not put the biggest Security clan of Brink in my Resistance crosshairs?

Unit-13 supports both factions…
As mentioned above - just signing up on the forums and being a regular, dedicated member are not one in the same. It wouldn’t surprise me if Brink came out tomorrow, they would only have around 20 “actual” members. Besides, it still doesn’t explain why you are “against” them.
Also, they are set up into divisions - PC, PS3, xbox, etc. So even if they had 100+ members, they would still be smaller sub-groups, not a roster of 100 people constantly rotating.
i’m “against” Security and their sympathizers. they’ve said they have 80+ members, if they’re claiming forum population on different forums, that’s… unusual.
(i don’t really have anything against them personally, i just like role playing the clan/game fiction.)
This is an example of the worthless drama I was rambling about in my billion word essay.
By the way, what happened to the related comments you quoted of post #38? Not only are they gone from the post but your quote doesn’t contain it either. Neither say “last edited by”.
:infiltrator:
ah, you’ll have to excuse me on that part, i’m quite lazy. i tend to quote someone on one message, while meaning to quote parts from several of his/her posts. this was one of those cases, and i quoted that message because in some way he seemed to indicate that your post was talking about unit-13. at least that’s how it appeared to me, but i’m starting to think all of his posts are in some way targeted at unit-13.
i would really appreciate it if he would target security, instead of a inter-factional clan…
especially since the only two of unit-13(that i know of) that are on this forum are both in resistance. (or zanchile has defected and i somehow missed that)
Once again, not because 2 kids are fighting about who is the better brink clan (may I lol??? anyway, game isnt released and they gonna be crushed by any veteran as usual… well, whatever…) doesnt mean that all clan/team are like that
But I can agree that these 2 drama queen served your point!
Grrrrr angry kiddo go away please!
Peace
If I may cut in,
I am the leader for the Security side of Unit 13 and before anybody really starts hating on us, I would just like to state a few things.
- We have no official CLAN(If it makes you feel better, H0RSE, think of Unit 13 as more of a team then a clan.) members. We have 100+ community members, in which only about 60 are active. Very common among forums of any sort.
- We do in fact support both factions, and we do not favor one more then the other. However, the majority of our community members seem to lean more towards the Security faction.
- Don’t let something that a Unit 13 “member” says reflect your opinion towards the team as a whole.
- Unit 13 is, by the looks of it, indeed being targeted here. I would like to think that we are in fact the largest, not to mention the most active team/clan that currently exists for Brink.
Having said that, it kinda irritates me that there are flame wars going on against Unit 13. As H0RSE said, we don’t come on here and say how superior we are then the rest of the SD/Bethesda community, so why choose to attack us based on your false knowledge about us.
Btw, yes it is stated “If you aren’t our ally, your our rival.” That is true, because if you have many different teams for a game…and you aren’t allied with some of them, that usually makes them your rival or enemies.
But hey, if you want to speak on behalf of your team and say we are in your cross hairs, thats completely okay.
Good luck, though
My Turn,
Lets start with some facts and numbers coming from me and the server itself.
Unit 13 has 113 registered members on the forums, 60 of which the forum considers active (This is decided by vbulletin on the fly). We have had 511 threads created and 11,213 posts made on our forums since our launch date to Version 2 of July 4, 2010.
Looking at server logs, from last month we had 669 Unique Visitors (People with unique IP addresses) and 2900 visits. We have accumulated 10GB of bandwidth transfer since our move to the new server in late july.
We have no official member count yet for the clan, as user applications have not been completed by me, but can be expected soon.
If you have any issue with our clan and how we run things, please direct them to me and I will see what I can do to solve the issue. My e-mail address is david@unit-13.org .
Unit 13 is the largest formed clan for the upcoming game Brink being developed by Splash Damage and published by Bethesda Softworks. Our staff has put countless hours into making Unit 13 friendly and open to new and current members.
Personally, I’d suggest branding yourself as a Brink Community, your website is neat and your forums active. When the game is released worry about the clan stuff. The mass signature spamming and visits to explain are also a little OTT but that’s my opinion. In short if you want to big yourself up you should accept that people will try to knock you down.
care ?
game isn’t out yet and you’re having a pissing contest about clan sizes ?
get a life/brain
I did not have an issue with people that oppose Unit 13, I just wanted to make sure that if they are going to oppose us, to oppose us for the right reasons with the right information, and I am certainly not having a pissing match over the size of our clan. The reason we label ourselves as a clan before Brink’s launch is so that on the week of launch the new members that are just being introduced to the game will have a well developed and available option clan wise.
Oh, and on the “signature spam”. I would not consider it spam, but promotion of something that we believe in. Now if it is excessive and does not fall in line with SD/Bethesda rules that is another story and I will make sure to watch out for offending members.
I must have been lucky to not have been in any clan that is like those described in this topic…
No problem with anybody that tries to knock us down, but we are going to defend ourselves when someone does so.
