Clan tag functionality/Keep friends in the team?

So do clantags have any functionality ingame?
And how can we stay in 1 team with friends? After games teams are shuffled and one of us always end up alone.

No ingame functionality besides not having to edit your steam name.

You just have to switch teams to play with them for now. No way to premake teams in normal servers.
