Clan Match Question about Points System and Ladders

(wolfnemesis75) #1

So we did our first Clan Match last night against arguably (who I think is the best team on Xbox). We ended up losing the match and so we are 0-1.

My question: will the points system or ladder eventually reflect the teams that have actually played matches?

Right now, if you play a match and lose, you end up with a lower rank than a team that has not played a match at all. I think a team that actually participates in matches should be ranked higher than a team that fights no matches.

Will the Clan Ladder eventually list teams that have actually fought a match only? And will there be a list for teams that have a good record, but have not fought a match?

Also, do the Clans have to fight a certain number of matches a week or in a month in order to keep their positions?

Thanks

The teams who haven’t played for a certain period of time will be removed from the list and will go into some kind of hibernation mode. (You can re-activate a clan if it has been removed.)

Of course, it doesn’t matter too much, because if you play a couple of matches you should eventually climb back over 1500, and if you don’t then you shouldn’t worry about your ranking anyway. There are enough total beginner clans to guarantee that any clan who plays regularly will not remain under 1500.

Clans without games should not show on the ladders.
Ladders show rankings. you only get a ranking by participating. Currently there are over 200 “clans” between the 2 clans that have played and won and the 2 clans that have played and lost. It’s stupid.
There needs to be a checkbox to filter out clans that haven’t played any games.

Well as you guys are describing it, its the same its on Clanbase

There you start with 1000 and if you loose a match youll loose some points so also there you can have teams with no games ranked higher than teams with games.

inactive teams are put in hibernation after a period.

fair way todo it imo

I’m not complaining about the points. That’s a pretty standard way of doin this type of ladder and there’s nothing wrong with it.

I’m complaining about how the ladder is displayed. There is a really, really simple fix (a checkbox that filters clans that have games played > 0) and yet it wasn’t implemented. It shows a lack of thought and a lack of polish.

Confirmed - inactive clans will drop off the ladder.
