Christmas Sparkles on Fragment Cobalts?

(SgtCyndaquil) #1

So I crafted a Cobalt Thunder today and wound up getting a Timik in Fragment, which I was happy about, however after starting to play him, I noticed these specs on the side of the Timik, They weren’t there for my cobalt stoker which is in Shard. At first I thought it was just a visual glitch or something to do with the fragment skin itself, so I went to the loadout Preview and couldn’t find any of the aforementioned specs on the gun. So then I went to check if they were on any of my other Fragment cobalts and sure enough my sparks and fragger also had these green/white specs on the sides of their gun. I was just wondering where this came from? I don’t remember those being there before the WTD update came out, or even a few days ago when I was trying to get the coal trinket, so where did they come from? imgur.com/a/YDNJm

Dunno, I don’t own cobalts but if this is a new feature then I’ll probably be tempted to get fragment.

yh i have my setting really low, so instead of chrome-colour with white sparkles, its black with white dots.
Its looks friking awesome - would be a great new “cosmos” skin imo.

The sparkles have always been there, no idea why you would not have noticed before…

this, the sparkles have always been there

I know for a fact that they weren’t there before because I play with a fragment Fragger on a near daily basis and I at no point saw them before this update despite constantly using the inspect option when I’m not being shot at. so there’s no need to be snarky about it.

Everyone else knows for a fact that they’ve always been there.
You may have been playing on different settings before, but there is no way around it that they’ve always been there.

maybe you played on low settings because on low settings fragment looks like a galaxy

I had my settings maxed out and dont recall ever changing them to something lower, but IDK i’m probably just crazy.

Wasn’t being snarky, just pointing out that it’s not something new and I have no idea what sort of settings could have hid them for you.

Can confirm the glitter gun!
I distinctly remember it when I got my Sawbonez load out when they first came out, because it was so unique.

Yeah I think there was a post on this a while back and they showed it on a stream.

Like he said when your settings are very low I think HQ graphics you can see clearly that the fragment variant has dots or sparkles on it.

I basically thought there was 3 different cobalts the fragment with the sparkles, shard, and this weird silver looking one when i would tell my friends that they would be like “oh yeah that’s fragment.” me never have played on anything higher than low this was amazing to me since i had been playing with a black-ish gun with some dots on it looked amazing then i saw the silver and i was like woah.
