Choppier FPS after the maintenance?

(BushDweller) #1

No idea if anyone else has this, but my fps is so choppy now after that maintenance.

I was getting 100+ fps smooth before, anyone else having this?

(Ghosthree3) #2

Was there even a patch?

(BushDweller) #3

No patch, just maintenance, which is why it confuses me on why i’m getting such horrible fps

(Gi.Am) #4

hmm haven’t been in the game yet. Could be two things.

One if you don’t have a FPS counter active and only feel that the game is choppier it is most likely lag instead there is alot of server client crosstalk going on (in game but especially in menu) could very well be that the servers are stressed.

Second guess if you see an actual fps decrease. Maybe they shifted some stuff to the client side demand more data from the client, now. this could stress the client more (bottlenecking the cpu).

Just guesses tho could very well be placebo/coincident aswell.

Hi, it was the same for me yesterday. Choppy gameplay :frowning:

(D'@athi) #6

Every explosion made the game feeling choppy while the fps were rock-solid smoothed 150. (trying standard-settings and onetime, but still feels kinda odd)

(MisterMurder) #7

Ever heard of overclocking?

(BushDweller) #8

How would that help us in any way…?

It’s not like I was having choppy fps before.

Anyways, my problem resolved with a PC restart

Onyxia is Deep Breathing for me more after maintenance too.

same here and lots of rubber banding.

@Amerika :stuck_out_tongue:
After abit of playing, today, I got the feeling something is up with some of the (eu?)servers?
Most servers are ok, gameplay is mostly smooth. The usual 48-52 ping for me and most of the rest are in this region too.
But there are quite a few servers, ping 65+ for me, and filled with many people going up to 120 pings. Game is feeling quite odd, getting headshot after headshot around corners, especially from high-pinging snipers, I can’t really hit the enemy where he should be, and when hit by aoe-effects, you get kinda stuck/lagged for a short moment.

I used to have 65-80 FPS on my lappy when playing on maximum graphics. After I OCed my i7 4700MQ from 2,4 GHz to 3,6 GHz I can get stable 100-115 FPS + game looks much smoother. Temps rose with 10-15•C.

Whats the point? 60 fps is basically max

(activeClip) #14

how do you have solid 150, i got 4770k @ 4.2ghz and 970 and i barely get 110-130

144hz screens need 145fps!

60FPS is the bare minimum for playable without noticing too much input latency or losing too much response. It’s the lowest tier of benchmarks and not the highest benchmark to go for.

I have a 4770k @ 4.5ghz with a gtx780 and I get between 280-330fps constant using an FPS config and all the micro-stutters I used to get before the UI patch are gone.

(DMaster2) #17

You are lucky, mine won’t even let me in

As written above, oneframethreadlag (not onetime…) enabled, without it, I get drops down to the high 80s/low 90s on low-settings. Having it enabled gives me about 160 min.
