CHEATING IS BREAKING MY SOUL

i usually dont get angry by cheaters.

But i recently got a friend with me on the Dirty Bomb Wagon. we made a party and jump ingame.

Everything was good until our team who was a cheater ruined the game. My friend log out and uninstalled.

So here i sit alone with no friends to play with because cheaters are doing everything in their power to ruin this really nice niche game.

Forget OP merc who can be balanced with patches.

Forget Perfomance issuses which can be dealt by issuing a drivers or Optimazations tips.

Cheaters can truly kill the populations this game.

I dont know man. i just dont know anymore.

TL:DR, Friend discovers that my favorite MP game doesnt have good ANTI-CHEAT and Unistalls.

This is my first post and first thread. i hope that i didnt break the forum rules or something

Also, if you look around a bit you will see that new AC is on the way. Just isn’t implemented yet. This has been mentioned in several posts.

Ah, didnt know that, good stuff. The amount of cheating I encountered in this game so far had me worried.

There is no anti cheat software on the market that works…

The best anti cheat is “demorecording” and a reporting system with community policing community. With GM’s/ADministrators that act on reports and recordings.

Your friend is either a bitch or new to playing PC games, simple as that. Acting like his never seen a cheater in any video game before. I can understand rage quitting, but uninstalling and giving the pretense he wont play again because of that experience just sounds a bit weak.

Black Ops 2 has pretty effective anti cheat system… No idea how they’re achieving it exactly…

So, does your friend have any multiplayer game installed? Every single MP game has cheaters. The anti-cheat isn’t going to prevent all cheating. You expecting it to prevent every single cheater from ever being able to play is like expecting cops to prevent all crime before it’s committed. The AC that some would consider the best still has tons and tons of cheaters. It’s the community that keeps things fair.

Also, the devs have stated on quite a few occasions now that they are not only adding in in-game reporting but are quite possibly changing the anti-cheat they are using. So things are in the works but it takes time to developer software so hold tight :slight_smile:

More common in competitive. Still fairly rare depending on how lucky/unlucky you are.

Watched a guy streaming a “competitve” match last night - from the start, a guy on the opposing team started insta-headshotting everyone on his team. He finally just started up a different game and played that until the match ended so he wouldn’t be penalized for leaving.

It was pathetic. I know if I were thinking about trying the game and happened to see that as my first introduction to it, I wouldn’t even bother.

200hrs+ 0 comp matches , 2 cheaters in normal matches…

I’ve only seen one cheater outside of “ranked” matchmaking.

I’ve seen a dozen or so in my ranked matches.

Probably because they know you can’t leave without penalty.

love those really “good” players who rambo about the map just HS everyone, no BS, and then u go spec and say in global u just want to record them and suddenly they cant hit the side of a barn - then ask them why are they not playing so well and hear all the excuses roll out
