To be fair, that’s what the ranks are for. In theory the new players should get placed in the lower ranks and end up competing against players of a similar skill level. Competition doesn’t have to imply top-level skill and team work, it’s just a more serious type of organized play.

I absolutely agree, but everyone at this point in time knows that the ranking system is completely wrong. Anyone who is not running in a five man group is automatically at a disadvantage. If most people were to be correctly ranked, almost everyone would fall into the Silver 4-5, Bronze 1-3 area. I am just tired of people that I get into game with complaining about us stomping them when they queued into the game solo with little expectation of actually having to try.
