Cheater (video)

(disguisedRocket) #1

Here’s a video of a guy named summit:

I recorded it 30 minute ago.
He has a 150ms ping and he’s obviously cheating with his crosshair jumping from one ennemy to another.
Could you please ban him?

(Lunar) #2

Played with him last night, whether or not people believe you I am with you as well, he was 100% cheating he was single firing an smg and getting 1 taps all night, shit was to funny.

(Amerika) #3

Yeah, he’s using that aimbot that is common now and has it setup to try and make it look not obvious but the crosshair snapping gives it away. Also, as we all know, nobody plays as a Field Ops in this game unless they are aimbotting (and need the ammo)

Obsiouly there is some issues with the anti cheat …
And no solution to report and ban cheaters …

(Rimmorn) #5

Yup clearly botting. If the beginning doesn’t convince someone then 1:20 will.

(disguisedRocket) #6

I sent an email to the support. They will investigate.

(yellowCabbage) #7

the question here is how do you get replay? i have no idea how to

(Eox) #8

Definitely an aimbot.

This is getting annoying. I feel like there’s more and more like that, and the game is still in closed beta. This is insane : closed beta and already tons of cheaters.

(Zenity) #9

Need to get the Steam user account to track those people though. Can this be done right now?

(Rimmorn) #10

I’m pretty sure that player name is connected to steam name in a database.

(god1) #11

Tons? No. Not in EU servers at least.
I’m almost level 11 and I’ve only seen 2 cheaters during that time, the other one being this summit guy who was on my team earlier today.

But you need the Steam ID, since you can set the Steam username to whatever. Also people said that some of the cheats change the username to whoever they kill, so you can’t even kick them from the server.

It shouldn’t be possible to change username in-game, and there should be a way to access somebody’s Steam profile and/or get their id.

I’m certain they can look at the person who posted this, check his history and find him easily enough. People get banned in other Steam games all the time.

I can’t be sure but I imagine that profile names are not simply copy/pasted steam names because that would create a problem with duplicates. My guess would be that DB account is linked to steam ID with in-game name being the steam name at the time of the account creation or something better (this would only solve the database duplicates but not the in-game ones).

Besides if they actually change the username in-game you just need to lookup which accounts changed their username more then once in a given time frame and manually rule out the few legit ones if there are any.

(RuleofBooKz) #15

ive seen snipers use the HS aimbot.

to a casual player it doesnt look that suss because snipers try to get HS’s and those HS are one hit kills.

But when they only score HS’s and against widly sprinting erratically moving targets who are zig zagging in a crazy fashion 100% of the time with no body shots and no missed shots, just HS, kinda gives it away

(humaneBerry) #16

Good job recording and reporting! When the anti cheat doesn’t work properly we need an active community!

sounds like a really good filter method: if possible

I am talking in general.

Those seems to be common on US servers, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I encountered some on EU servers.

BANHAMMER!

(Ashog) #20

haha, aimbot. Didn’t help him much tho.
