Cheater selling cobalt acoounts with all mercs. (OMGLOL)

(Glottis-3D) #1

I played him round 14-00 MSK (3-00AM PST)
in competitive MM
PLayed him 2 times in a row.

He literally said, that he makes accounts, gets cobalt ranks, and (probably) all mercs, and sells them. thats his way of getting money. He sais he did just that in CSGO.

His ingame nick was just “square” symbol.
But i hope we can track him via echo.
He played Kira with arty rifle.

submitted a request on Nexon. but wanted to make a thread, so that to get attention.
because this is totally redicoulus case (selling cheat accounts).
he will never get bored, because it is his money.

Maybe this will motivate SD/Nexon to use an actual anticheat in place of “noone knows what I do and why I’m so bad” XIGNCODE and other ineffective manual record methods.

cobalt accounts? Like a cobalt rank in matchmaking? hahaha good luck to them: wouldnt be surprised if ranks get reset, it takes forever to advance a rank anyways.

I saw that guy though; def. ruined my game, running round with Kira like you said.

The square symbol you are referring to is likely a character that the DB client is not equipped to handle. I’ve seen players with Chinese characters in lobby show up as a set of squares in game.

This will in no way motivate SD/NEXON to get an actual anti-cheat. They have shown that an anti-cheat is not something they care about, or are working on, since they would actually have to spend money on it.

It’s kind of funny to see how everyone thinks a different anti-cheat program would make a huge difference and get rid of cheating. Be honest guys, it wouldn’t change a thing if we got Vac or PB or whatever the next all mighty anticheat program is. This game is, and from now on will forever be filled with gold farmers just like any other free to play game in the market and there is nothing a anticheat program can do to change that.

Take off your rose-tinted glasses and embrace the reality. Money makes the world roll and where there is money to be made… well, money will be made.

yup they dont care.

and the night is dark and full of terrors

“It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue”

(Glottis-3D) #9

anticheats will fail.
but if the community will have a tool to quckly report cheaters with proof, and SD/Nexon will have people, dedicated to banning cheaters, we can handle this.

(Beermachine) #10

While ultimately true, a good anti cheat program, or rather one that makes the risks of losing paid for games / lots of invested time much more unappealing does at least cut down the numbers

Still, the only truly effective anti cheat system is servers with regulars who do vote kick after spectating, and knowledgeable admins who do the same.

(BioSnark) #11

Not having trading will limit farming to some extent since it’s only accounts. Completely agree, however, that community servers with responsible admins is the only real solution to hacking.

I thought Valve had a new policy that you cant play free games until you have spent at least £5-10 or something on your account?

(Nail) #13

that’s just to get in Marketplace, I haven’t spent anything and can play free games (Mainland, TF2, Portal)

(Mustang) #14

Ah okay, well that would be one way to break the get banned, create a new account cycle.

(Runeforce) #15

Yeah, except it would not really be F2P, if you had to pay Valve. I have +400 games on my Steam account, but I don’t have access to the marketplace, because I never used a single dime on Steam.
