You can also cheat your characters to level 20 instantly. You can also hack your stats and unlock every ability. Making characters client side was such a terrible idea. This is another thing to blame consoles for.

That’s not cheating, this isn’t an rpg, leveling is just a fun gimmick. Those that don’t like or want the gimmick don’t have to use it.

You can have servers that give everyone access to all abilities or none, or anything in between. Users decide how they want to play within the limits of the game. This is completely different to using hacks or programs that play the game for you or give an unfair advantage.
This is how it’s always been. Welcome to PC gaming.

I agree with IG. These things don’t need to be promoted and linked in threads, it just aids the totally dumb and weak idiots that would use a hack but are too stupid to do their own research. PM someone at SD the link and I’m sure they’ll forward it to the VERY EAGER TO PULL YOUTUBE VIDs department at Bethesda. For my part I flagged the vid as inappropriate (bullying).

As for these existing, not surprising considering this is a id Tech based engine and cheats existed in the past so it’s a matter of modding them rather than starting from scratch.

And how the hell are hacks like this meant to be working on the 360? The 360 runs signed code only, there is no way to run a hack.

It doesn’t matter if this isn’t an RPG or if its a pc game. The devs added levels in there for a reason and bypassing it on a client side could be cheating. Server side is different because everybody would have level 20. I agree that the whole leveling system is stupid and they should just bring back the old ET system but that doesn’t change the fact that it is indeed cheating and it being client side doesn’t help it out at all.

It’s also obvious that at level 20 you’re opened up to a lot of very powerful and possibly game changing perks. last stand, lazurus grenade, and emp grenade come into mind. and those are only available at level 20.
