Cheat or heavy bug?

So today I ran into a player using Sawbonez, having his health pool and movement speed, yet he was using a shotgun and when he killed someone the killer’s loadout card shown was an Aura lead.

So this is either a weird bug, representative of the game’s current state… or it is a new interesting cheat. Did you people experience something like that? The player in question didn’t deny any hackusations nor explained what was going on.

But when spectated on the following match, his Sawbonez loadout was a regular one using an smg.

Same thing happened to me today, a sawbonez ran at me and killed me, but the card shown was an aura.

Maybe it was the same person? Was it on an Underground map?

No it was on chapel.
Do you remember the name of the player ?

I do, but there is a no name no shame policy. Check my twitch.tv/madlumi, the last stream I did around 30min.

I remember seeing a bug like this a while ago from some footage on YT. It was a Vasilli holding a Katana. Chances are it’s a bug.

There have been some bugs like this reported in the past. I seriously doubt it was a cheat from the sounds of it based on what I know of previous bugs. I would make a post in the bug report section (Noxie patrols it daily) and include your vod.

I watched the stream and i saw that it was a remburg 7.
(90% sure)

Let’s talk. If it was a bug he must have been putting down health stations and killing him should have given 80xp.
I’ll look out for those in the stream.

I think it’s just a bug.
I just read that other people have had problems like disconnecting, lag spikes and so on.
Ii feel like that guy vas maybe using sawbonez earlier, but then changed to aura, but for some reason you still saw sawbonez character model.:smiley:

Unfortunately I didn’t see that person drop nor an Aura station, nor health packs in order to differentiate. I’d like to know if the bug is only model based or if it also affects abilities rather than just weapons.

My guess would be that it’s only the model, but i could be wrong

I also seen a pretty strange and game breaking bug today, I wasnt recording (I never record when something interesting is happening). Anyway, there was a rhino standing on a med bag and he was continuously healing from it as in the med bag didnt disappear. It took me getting constant headshots and a players turret to kill him. The guy that was playing rhino didn’t even understand what happened. I quizzed the sawbonez about it but he refused to reply, whether he was cheating or this is indeed a bug makes no difference. It should be looked at and when I can get a friend or 2 to join me i’ll try and repeat it in a private server.

This must’ve been like a dozen, or so, patches ago, way back when real potato configs were a thing, but I once spawned as a Fragger, with a Crotzni for main weapon.
I believe I was spamming to switch between Sawbonez and Fragger, when it happened, but that’s the only time this has happened to me.
