Characters slot?

(Shishio) #1

this is a weird thing we thinked about a friend and me, don’t know if it was already said but…
Since there is and huge customisation system, we’ll be able to save them, but how much different characters can we have on the same save?

Or can we have as many as we want as different saves?

(Fireseed) #2

16 Characters per Account (copy of Brink)

i have like 10 PSN accounts, so thats potentially like 160 characters, lol im not going to use all of them probably just one because 16 is enough for me

(3Suns) #5

LMAO! I always knew those PSN gamer numbers were inflated. Now I know why! Matthias alone inflates it by a factor of ten! LMAO!

(MatthiasK75) #6

its not exactly 10 but its up there, a few of them have been banned i think, like fecal-smear
cant imagine why…

but i basically only use 2 of them

(madoule) #7

from ten to two in 55 minutes… [arethafranklininbluesbrothersthemovievoice] say whaaaat? [/arethafranklininbluesbrothersthemovievoice]

(MatthiasK75) #8

nah i have 7 (i went and counted, 10 was an estimate, only 3 off) but i only really use 2, ones for call of duty and the other is my main for everything else

(Wraith) #9

So your going to build an army?

(MatthiasK75) #10

yes

(Murderous Pie) #11

If you do the math, with 16 characters, you can have a character for every class, with each body type. (4X3=12) with some room in for your own devious creations.

(Herandar) #12

Rather have 2 or 3 higher level characters than 16 low-level characters.

(Ix LP xI) #13

I’m probably going to have a character for each body type in both factions, to experiment with the body types and their abilities, but stick to what will be my favorite build to get to high levels and keep to other ones if I want to play differently than with my main character.

(Ajax's Spear) #14

Every character you create can play in either faction. There is a security version and a resistance version for each slot.

(Herandar) #15

But you can change body type. Just not within a match.

The forum will please correct me if I’m wrong.

The only things you can never change on your character IIRC is archetype, voicepack and tattoos. (And I love that last bit.)

Affirmative. Though I believe the advantage to having so many slots is that you can set up a specific load-out and skillset (along with body and archetype, etc) and have it ready to go whenever, rather than only having 4 slots and having to switch everything around all the time.

(Ix LP xI) #17

That’s awesome then. As you said, I can have a character for every combination of body type and class!

(Shishio) #18

thanks 16 is really enough for me.

True, but you will probably want (at least some of ) your choosen abilities to either offset limitations or augment enhancements inherent in a specific body type. So it makes as much sense to have a character created specifically for a particular body type as it does to create one for a specific class.
