Does anybody else find the whole leveling up system tedious and worthless after a few rounds of playing? You can only generally spec into 2 classes on a single character. As an ET player I find this system just dull. It’s basically limiting you to only 2 classes at higher level play, and if I wanted to play the others I would have to leave the game, go on another character, and then rejoin the server.
Is there really a need for any of this? The character building was cool as a concept but put into play it’s just a nuisance for experienced players.
I would really like to stick to just 1 character and be able to play all 4 classes without getting handicapped by other players. I know the game is still early but I would really like to see some new kind of system that doesn’t hinder players.
3 and 4 classed characters aren’t impossible to do though. Take this build for example:
Universal:
Battle Hardened
Supply Max Increase
Combat Intuition
Sprinting Reload
Resupply Rate Increase
Medic:
Increased Supplies
Improved Increased Supplies
Improved Life Buff
Operative:
Homing Beacon
Comms Hack
EMP Grenade
Engineer:
Extra Kevlar
Nerves of Steel
Improved Weapon Buff
Extra Landmine
Soldier:
AP Ammo
Grenade Mastery
Extra Magazine
Frag Blast
Grenade Damage
All of the core abilities are there, and the secondary abilities arent as important when you are going to be changing classes often to adjust to the situation rather than using the more situational skills. Leave the situational things like command post upgrading to dedicated engineers. If you use the abilities you have to their fullest, you shouldn’t have too many leftover supply pips anyway.
A few abilities I would have liked to include I wasn’t able to fit, such as Turrets, Sticky Nade, and Downed Fire, but you can always tweak it to your playstyle with each class. Exclude any one class and its pretty easy to fit in the majority of the things I wanted to.
