Character models

(InvisiboFD) #1

Is there any way to get all of the character models from Wolf: ET either pre-textured with the textures from the game or with the textures to texture them myself?

Edit: Or if possible if I could get:
soldier, prone with his mg45 on a bipod
Feild op standing looking through bonoculars,
engineer, crouched, with pliers poking at noithing (as if you’re pressign primary fire)
a medic standing with medpack in hand
covert op crouched looking though a scoped rifle

all on the allies

I dunno how hard all this is to get, if someone could tell me how to achive all of this (the models, positions, importing etc) that would be fine. I have Maya and Rhinoceros to work with, although I’m more familer with Rhino.

a screen cap of you and your buddies wouldn’t work? you could fire up a game, have a few buddies join, and then you could all strike a pose?

It needs to be 3d.

uhm ingame isn’t 3d?? What do you want?

(InvisiboFD) #5

no I mean when you take a screenshot it becomes 2d, I need a 3d model to stick next to another 3d model

i’d honestly have to guess that would maybe qualify as copyright infringement, if you’re using them in your own art? unless it’s for the map or something i guess.

I was planning on putting them in a logo for my clan, which plays Wolf ET, I didn’t think that was illeagal… :expressionless:

If it’s a logo art then you can probably get away with high-res screenshots, as already suggested. If you make a custom map with a constant background colour you could cut out the players quite easily in PhotoShop.

The problem being that there isn’t currently an importer available for the MDM model format, but I refer you to this thread:
