First of all, I love this game. Besides the lag (which I hope is fixed soon), it’s a blast.
But yesterday I was playing with my Xbox live party, and we were not wearing our customised gear, but were all wearing randomly generated stuff, and some of us werent even the same races we had picked.
Is this a bug? Or is customisation just viewable at the character select screen? In which case why even bother, lol?

Yeah, if it switches to 3rd person when you interact with objectives you look total different! Happens most of the time…
“Same Happens”? If you read the OP’s post you’d see he was already referring to the xbox version.
Never had this issue with the pc version.
This happens to me alot, but a little while after the game has started me and my friends all go back to wearing our proper gear.
It happens for the first few moments of starting a new map or joining a server for me, on PC. But that’s the extent of it. It corrects itself after a moment or so.

I was saying the same happens to me on the xbox, I’ll be like ‘can you see my new gas mask’ my friend is like you’re not wearing a gas mask.
Sometimes one of us can see each others customisations but others cant.
Happens consistently. However, when we die, our corpses look like our customized character.
Not sure why this isn’t a 100+ post thread. This is a HUGE issue. If no one–my friends or enemies–can see my customization, then why customize at all? In many games, I fight opponents who all look similar to each other.
To make matters worse, the body types don’t register either. I looked like a Light to my friend, but I was a Heavy, so he was surprised by how many bullets it took to take me down.
It’s only until you first die. I guess it’s because the games start with the everyone looking like the bots do, then after you die you look normal.

I’ve noticed this on PC. People changing when they die. Very odd.
experienced this too when entering a match till i die the first time, after that everything’s alright.
Is this just online or in single player as well? because i have seen nothing of the such in single player on PS3
It’s actually pretty funny i was recording some footage to put up tomorrow or monday but when i killed someone everything from up top came off and he was bare chested, lol.
Sometimes everyone looks exactly like my character, one time everyone looked like a bootleg duke nukem with sunglasses on too
recorded some interesting glitches i must say lol
experienced it just in free play so far, just a little bug.
maybe it gets fixed with the next patch. if not, i won’t bother.
Just noticed this today playing co op on the XBox. So what, let’s add fun elements to the game but make them mean nothing at all? Add this to your patch please.
It shows in free play but in campaign it’s the story characters from what I can tell.
Not true. While my corpse looks like me, when I respawn, I still look wrong. Even when the match ends and a new one begins, it’s not my character.
