Changing the HUD - Organization

(JJMAJR) #1

I’d like to see a little bit of cleanup for the Shooter UI files. For example, there should be a guide towards what each UI object in the game actually means, as well as some level of organization so that players can set up stuff the way they need to. For example…
The health, ammo, and ability cooldown information should be in a subgroup of UI elements. Even if that means putting a line break between those elements and other elements.

Same goes for…

Chat
Objective information
Execution information
Status Effect Indicators
Minimap information
All of these could go into subgroups, separated only by line breaks or just merely clumped together.

Anyways, if I’m violating the terms of use by changing the position of UI elements, well there’s these threads:

Now that I avoided getting fuck-ups or some other shit (I don’t know if changing my UI elements’ positions is cheating) I want to see what happens with this thread.

Editing the HUD is definitely not cheating.

I have made a guide on Steam if you are interested.

By the way, @Xyfurion is working on a tool.
It will make the whole process a lot easier.

Yes, I have seen it.

I’m just complaining at how disorganized the HUD file is.
