Herro people.
One thing that i find is that i often want to change which loadout of a mercenary mid game due to the way that the maps are designed. For example Bridge has lovely long corridors to begin with but closes in as it gets further on so the ability to change to a shotgun loadout card would be advantageous. Thoughts on this?
other thoughts would be on the idea that a lot of the discussion revolves around mercenary balance right now. While i don’t want to discredit discussion I feel that, as more mercenary’s get launched (super hyped for that btw), we will find players finding the soft and hard counters for mercs, leading to more interesting co-operative and counter picking going on.
My other thoughts concerns the loadout system. While i like the idea of cards and the like. tooltipping would be nice so you don’t get into a game and realise you’ve got a loadout that doesn’t fit your playstyle. implementing a loadout change system would fix this of course. or maybe you guys have tooltips on the way. The other thing is that personally i feel that Splash Damage have missed an opportunity with the economy. As it is gold and silver loadout cards just give aesthetic upgrades and honestly i’m never going to go for them. I want to see your beautiful game art work however and i’ happily give over £’s to get aesthetic upgrades to my favourite mercs.
I know someone else on the forum mentioned Black Light retribution style weapon tags. I’d love that. little models that add little, or no gameplay aspects but can be sold.
I’ll end this post by saying that i’m loving the game so far and that please don’t launch until it’s ready because i’d love to play this for years to come. (something i wanted with Brink but Brink sadly had it’s own problems)
