Changing interface

Hi,

I’m currently changing ET interface. I face a few problems.

Several files are “side compressed” : i mean they are forced to a specific size, say 1024x1024 for cam_map, whereas the original size of the file is wider :
limbo_back
camp_map
camp_side

Can you tell me what compression do i have to use to have a correct view in game ?

Pins :
If i change the camp_map file, the pins are not located correctly on my replaced map, how can i change the pin coordinates ?

The HUD images are just standard TGA format. I can’t understand why you dont use the existing image resolutions as this would solve alot of time. The pin locations are stored in the arena file for the map and are based on the top left of the map being 0,0 location.

I don’t understand your “why you dont use the existing image resolutions”.
I don’t want to change image res. It seems I didn’t express myself correctly I’m french :-/
I just mean that the images are squeezed sidewise in game.
For example, camp_map + camp_side are squeezed. If I edit them and, say, add a logo on it, the logo ends side squeezed in game.
What i was asking is what is the squeeze %…
Or any other help…

This is to replace the map displayed during map loading :
Of course the real file is 1024x1024 as the original size.

Cause if you look closely you can see that the borders on the original map provided by SD are today borders !!! Shame on SD graphists :wink:
My map has roughly 1942’s borders when the Axis empire was the most extended. Red part is Axis Empire and brown neutral or Allies lands.
