Changing In-Game Text Is Possible.

I used to play Battlefield Play4Free, and one of my favourite things was being able to change the ingame text for Enemy Killed, Assist, etc. etc. to whatever I wanted (example here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gx8H-_Rhubk)

I know that you can change the UI position settings in Dirty Bomb, but is it also possible to change the ingame text? Examples would be like:

Teammate Repairing -> You’re Not Helping
Planting C4 -> Doing What’s Right
[playername] has picked up the objective -> Look out for [playername] and protect him!

This is obviously purely cosmetic in function and would only affect the client-side, but I find joy in these little changes. It makes the game feel more personable to me, you know?

Nice idea however it is most likely going to happen much later on if at all cause the devs want to make key gameplay changes eg. new mercs before moving on to smaller niches.

I actually found out where to do this done. I haven’t done a lot of changes, though. All I’ve done so far is change the construct text “TEAMMATE REPAIRING” to “YOU’RE NOT HELPING” and quite honestly, it really sinks in to stop trying to repair, lol.

I definitely could make a short little guide(it’s not going to be little at all, I just know it). Idk about changing the font, but it very well may be possible. I’ll look into it. I only have access to my laptop right now (my desktop has all the DB files on it), but once I have the time to go through the files and construct a guide, I can post it here.

That I did. I was greatly saddened to hear that they stopped support of those titles. Play4Free had that perfect combination of arcade shooter with battlefield bullet drop on the snipers that really felt nice to me.
