Is it possible to change y axis sensitivity in DB? I’ve tried mucking about with MouseY in input.ini and changing the Speed variable but it has no effect.
Change vertical mouse sensitivity
Honest question. Why would you want it? It is so incredibly weird to have different XY sensitivities.
I can do it with my Razer Naga in Razer Synapse, but I am not sure if there is any setting in the actual .ini files that can change it on it’s own.
That’s exactly why I want to change it; I feel like Y is less sensitive. Whether or not it actually is I don’t know, but I want to try it.
One reason could be for head tracking, it just depends on the person. I tried setting my vertical sensitivity about 200-250dpi under what my y-axis one was at, and it seemed to help a bit.
Hm glanzing over the input.ini there seems to be “LookRightScale=0” and “LookUPScale=0” didn’t try it. But they sound to me like they will multiply the default sensitivity, having different values propably changes that based on axis.
Alternatively mouse setting software might allow for independent DPI as RAW suggested (atleast my logitech driver software has it) and Ghosthree mentioned “QL Mouse Accel drivers” in another tread which is custom mouse driver (a bit complicated to install) that is mainly focused on giving Quake style linear acceleration to any game/software. But you could simply use it to get axis independent sensitivity aswell.
if for example you played at 4:3 stretched, you might want to change your vertical or horizontal sens in order to keep xy sensitivity the same
If you use any kind of gaming mouse you can do it there. The different types of software that I’ve used or seen all support it.
Different types of software? I see QL mentioned, I will check it out. I’m a G502 user but the software does not provide for independent axis DPI.

I’m using 4:3 1280x960 on a 1080 monitor. It does feel a bit odd, though it’s not stretched across the screen - I have black borders.
They removed it from the 5xx-series? At least in my verseion (8.58.183) It’is still included as (translated) adjust pointersettings/the 3rd one from the top, seperate the resolution of the x- and y-axis.
Disgusting. Doubt the game supports it but most gaming mouse software will let you do it.

EDIT: Turns out that in the case of pic related you have to use auto game detection - software - mode instead of onboard memory - hardware - mode with the mouse to use it. Which is nope^10.
I know my old mouse would let me do it for hardware mode though - Corsair M60.

Exactly. Minus the translations. Thx. And Win7 added a Db profile?
