Change the way free rotations work

Well it’s your opinion. But most people would like an obsidian card + 2 elite cases because they own Bush when he becomes free.
Because if you paid 10$ for it, it’s basically the same as buying 2 elite cases except you also get a rare card as an extra (reminder: people paid 15$ for obsidian Proxy + Aimee merc so it’s basically 5$ for the obsidian, here you get it for free).
And if you bought him with credits (like most people did) then it would make them even more happy because you can’t get elite cases with credits at all and as well as an obsidian card extra is nice.

Like I said, a lot of players left for Overwatch but it doesn’t mean they won’t come back. Also just because the player count is the same, doesn’t mean there are no new players. If there are 6,000 (just an example) players this month, and then 1,000 players leave for Overwatch and 1,000 new players join, next month will also display 6,000 players, we got 1,000 new players and the other 1,000 players (fine not all but at least 800) will come back next time there’s a big update (Turtle + Dockyard in this case).

When this game goes out of beta, and we have like 25+ mercs and at least 8 maps to play (including Dome that will be fixed and not hated) and a bunch of bugs will be fixed this game will become big, maybe not as big as csgo or cod but let’s say 100,000 people we will have
Show me the “most people” who want Bushwhacker to be made a free merc permanently and given an RNG card as compensation.
If I paid $10 for it, I want the $10 to go towards buying me Bushwhacker, not towards RNG cases. What you’re saying is basically “Oh, you bought a cup of coffee for $2.99? here’s 10 packs of condoms instead, it’s the same value”
It’s also unfair to give the same compensation to people who bought the merc with real money and those who paid with ingame credits.

A lot of the things that you’ve been saying has been your opinion and just optimistic thoughts.
You can’t even call this game a beta anymore, since they’re already charging real money for ingame items.
Even if it does “come out of beta” I doubt it would attract much attention.
Then why are you wasting your time on the forums for such a ‘ded gaem’?

I’d take the condoms, because I’d actually use them. Nice analogy.

Never said it was a “ded gaem”
Said this game can’t be called a beta anymore.
good try, maybe try reading next time.

Implying game won’t likely come out of beta.
Implying game isn’t a beta because they have transactions.
Implying the game won’t have the player base and/or development staff to support it to the point of leaving beta.

lel

Still begs the question why you bother posting if you don’t think this game is going anywhere.
Why did you make the conscious decision to spend $10 on a mercenary in a “beta” when that’s antithetical to and nonsensical within the context your implications?

your argument ended when you used memes
I posted because I don’t think Bushwhacker should be given as a free merc.
I spent $10 because I didn’t feel like grinding. Me saying the game is basically out of beta doesn’t necessarily mean anything. I never said it was a bad thing to have an option to get things ingame with real money, I stated it basically means the game is no longer in beta as you can’t change the things you put a price tag on.

Rustled jimmies confirmerinoed. I’m not arguing, just pointing out the obvious.

This is clearly not true. You need look no further than the Gen 2 loadouts for a great example of that. They fundamentally changed the function and values of cases and the loadout cards which were provided therein from Gen 1. Still a beta.

(Brain_of_Britain) #26

@terminal You said that it is unfair to get the same thing if you paid with real money rather than ingame credits but either way you get the merc which is the same reward no matter what way you paid so why is that different when it comes to an obsidian loadout card?

(yesser) #27

i guess making it turtle would a be better so new players will have a tank and medium health and low one and they have and eng medic and assault (or area denial ?) so new players have some of everything

(frostyvampire) #28

The reason I did not put Turtle as the free merc and I put Bush is because we don’t know how difficult it will be to use Turtle. Bush is really simple and easy to learn, which is what new players need. Turtle might end up the most difficult engie to use, but it’s an option too (even though I prefer getting another obsidian card :3) and also there are a lot of people like me who saved credits so we can get Turtle the moment he is released

@Equanimity
You can’t buy equipment cases with real money.
People who bought Gen 1 bronze cards with real money kept their cards with their augments/weapons, the cards were simply put off the shop and replaced with Gen 2 cards which had a different set of augment/weapons. Just because they’re similar cards doesn’t mean they’re the same ones with different augments.

@Brain_of_Britain
I paid real money with intentions of getting a character that nobody else could unless they also spend money or grind credits. I had no intention of buying an RNG case with real money for a free character ingame.

I think everyone who is replying to me isn’t thinking about how they’re arguing to make Bushwhacker a free character with an RNG case as compensation.
They aren’t thinking about how Turtle could be a free engineer.

I didn’t mean standard equipment cases or the same bronze loadouts you can buy in the store. Elite and Expert cases too were effected by the introduction of Gen 2 loadouts, and thus were something that one pays (except through arsenals) for and were changed, which would correlate by your own definition to be something that has changed drastically despite having a price tag put on it.

Also, I agree that Turtle would probably make a good free engie, but if not him then Bush can work similarly to how they gave Phoenix to everyone for free.

(frostyvampire) #31

@terminal
Just a correction, gen 1 bronze cards are still available in the store, you just can’t get them in cases or tradeups/tradeins.
It’s your fault you decided to pay real money for something you can get by playing for a week, they did the same thing with Phoenix and I haven’t seen anyone complaining really, I will even be happy if they make all mercs free and then I would get an obsidian card for all mercs + 34 elite cases (2 cases per merc).

Also you both please stop arguing here, how did free engie topic come to 1st and 2nd gen cards topic .-.
My point in this thread was mainly to change the rotations to be 2 random different mercs for each player and change every week, I included free engie part because then there will be no need in having an engie every rotation and since everyone will have 3 mercs to start with, reducing the merc rotations to 2 from 3 will make sense and be fair

my fault lol?
I didn’t mind spending money to buy Bushwhacker, he’s a good character.
You can’t compare what you’re suggesting to what they did with Phoenix because what you’re suggesting makes Bushwhacker free for all future players aswell.
