Change Ranked positions to actually mean something.

Right now, the people who score cobalt and gold are the people who group up. This means, for the average player that solo-queues, that they get steamrolled by the enemy.

This is hurting the playerbase for Ranked as only those who group are willing to play, which, suffice it to say, is not the larger part of the group.

A better way to do Ranked matchmaking that would make the system more fair to all queuers is to work by the users personal stats, which change every match, such as average XP per game when compared to the rest of the team’s XP.

Problem is that some roles are naturally harder to gain xp than other roles (medics vs assault)

Ok i reached Gold Specialist with a Group even tho i play Solo… you want maybe watch your Thoughts and not assume anything just because you can’t escape Bronze

I’ve made silver officer, kittz0r. I’m saying to improve the GAME, not my life specifically. I identified an issue and offered a semi-reasonable solution.

No you said everyone in Gold and Higher Team Up, thats insinuation. And your Solution to watch on People Stats more won’t help. The 1 Game someone is Medic and goes 10/ 8 but with 25k XP and the next Game they will Play an Engineer and go 25/30 with 12k XP, the next Game they might go Fragger and End up with 50/10 and 20k XP.
Of Course they have to look at personal Stats and What Merc got played but its not reliable.

In lower Games which i sadly get 98% of the Time i see 2 Proxies and thats where Problem is, they hurt the Team. Proxy sucks in Ranked, people have to understand that. They have to Quit Public Gamestyle and adapt to the Ranked Game, but most People won’t do it. So they keep their Rank low and the one of their Mates.

I started Silver Officer, got to Gold Agent and back to Silver Officer and worked my way up again with a lot of Rage and Salt.
Now Gold Master and i get Bronze and Unranked games all the Time, its hurting my Rank and its no Fun.
Maybe the lower Ranks should learn more before crying for Balance, they are the Reason the Balance is more or less Crappy, they can’t play.period.

I can sort of see where you are standing. My last ranked match had a teamkiller which we kicked around halfway through first round but then we were just 4v5.
Suffice it to say that without key individuals in my team we wouldn’t have actually won (and it was close) but by the end I left out as MVP with most kills and least deaths by mostly playing Sawbonez and I only got 30% progress after that. I do believe that the progress system still needs a bit of work and make maybe 50% max progress in lower levels (bronze and Silver) and 30% at higher levels (Gold and Cobalt). I know some people who feel that they are severely under leveled and the amount of games to win to get to the rank they deserve is not worth it at times, But I digress. Total amount of XP being much more important than it is, is a good idea but a person that plays an engineer would of course have less XP than a person playing assault or a person getting a shit ton of health insurance from healing station will hurt it more than a little, so I think before them implementing that sort of a thing they need to actually think what makes a player good. The amount of XP he gets, Combat XP, being an MVP or more.

I feel like ranked point gain needs to be increased to compensate for how hard it is to rank up, and its current playerbase.

As it is, The closer you get to your “true rank” the less you earn as you lose more to balance out your wins or if you face higher players, suffer from increasingly longer queues, and ultimately, gain even less points. Its like we’re being punished for wanting to continue rank past our limits, no one wants to invest the time for 10 rp…

Wouldnt 15-20 ranked points per loss instead of a mere 10 for all the effort seem more reasonable?
Maybe it could be a thing that happens on certain days throughout the week instead?

I mean when you compare the ranked point rewards, should one win really be worth FIVE losses? Three seems like a much fairer threshold.

If it means more people will play medic and I will finally be able to play sniper without having a level 7 Vassili sniping as well forcing me to switch to Sparks solo heal then I am absolutely fine with having it that way and them earning more elo.
