Change Captain?

Is there any way to do this…or at least remove the captain from play?

Well if you give them an AR and no abilities, they’re kinda like Suds.

I can’t imagine a game without someone that can call down lasers, blow things up and detect any cloaked things around them would end well for anyone except the person who, well, brought that same person. A pretty solid chunk of the game’s strategy revolves around how you adapt your army to complement your Captain’s skill layout, so I can’t say they’d ever think to give the option to remove the Captain from play (unless someone comes into this thread and proves me wrong about it).

Having the ability to change which Captain you have would be nice though, I suppose. Personally I’d like some outfits added for the Captain unit, or maybe even Captain-specific weaponry, but that’s a bit much honestly: the Captain’s plenty flexible already.

I wish there was more then 2 characters to choose from at the beginning, now i am stuck whit the fatty.Should have picked the girl instead.

I think if you rule out the captain or at least give the possibility to not use him you will constantly have Rusher- teams or (3x leightweight) or a heavy Tank team (3x heavyweight) or other hardcore mixes
the one is not to outrun - fast in fast out and very annoying.
the other is not easy to get down. - imagine a 3x Merci team. 40 healt per turn for each unit.
a 3x other medic team
a 3x Ivan team - with constant slow down

the commander gives you a huge variety of skills but rules out any hardcore teams. He is too slow for rusher and has less hp then Tanks .

It would give the game extra spice but yet it does not need that :slight_smile:
