How do I get the chaingun for my merc?

I’ve never used Rhino but I unboxed a gold card for him. Is his main weapon the chaingun or the shotgun? Is it like a ability that you can use every x amount of time…?

His primary is the shotgun.

His ability is the chaingun. He can pull out the chaingun by using q or 4. It has unlimited ammo, but it runs on an overheat mechanic so he can’t hold it down permanently.
