I heard that in the closed beta it was a great pistol, but from be a great pistol to the worst weapon in the game…
So maybe reducing the bloom and the recoil ? So it is worst than the DE50 but not that much

I can’t believe people care about pistols, primary weapons are more effective 90% of the time.

It’s more for when people have to fall back on them either due to their primary weapon being fairly ineffective in that situation or because they ran out of ammo. I don’t think it’s unfair to say pistols should be a reliable enough option to fall back on. Not necessarily better than primary weapons. Bad Company 2 is probably honestly the only game I have played that I felt the pistols were ever useful.

Until you have to reload in the middle of a firefight, that is. Then secondaries are crucial.

It seems like it’s used as a balancing factor for perks in loadouts, where recent loadouts with the Caulden tend to have the best/decent perks compared to other pistol counterparts. A buff for the Caulden would in turn make those loadouts only used for the best perks also good for their weapon selection. Then again, most loadouts on older mercs don’t go by that philosophy, and tend to have both the Caulden AND the worst perks. Buffing it would be a bit of a double-edged sword in that regard, though I’m all for it happening.

It’s basically the DE.50 but worse - 19 damage instead of 20 with no benefits to counterract it… It really should be given an accuracy or rate of fire buff.

Rather see it be given more ammo (yes I know the gun it is based on tends to only have 7 shots) since unlike the DE50 which can work with 7 shots, the Caulden really doesn’t work that well with just 7, would buff it to no more than 10 at most and no less than 8.

The 7 rounds aren’t enough because you will be missing a lot for the huge recoil and huge bloom per bullet
