the test was all about CASUAL match making, nothing to do with ranked

  • : when everything went smoothly I had high quality games with high-quality players and a correct balance (that I didn’t have for a while !)
  • : no bitching about “hooo levels difference”
  • : if someone leaves the lobby …
  • : no way to fix teams when 2+ left
  • : playing always the same map until you remove it from your “allowed list”

Why cant there be later or weekend test runs ive missed every one of these. I hate working day shift

First game I’ve played was perfect. It was balanced, noone left the game, we had fun ,it was nice.
Then each game I’ve played since then people left just before or during games. And I had to face the fact that you couldn’t change team anymore, and if I left to “balance” it I was threatened with a penalty.

So out of 5-6 games I’ve only played one balanced game, the others were stomps, but with no ways to counter it as I usually try to. And if you find a good lobby, you can’t play few games with the same persons as you have to restart MM after each game.

But I liked the new UI with more stats shown, and I’m all for hiding the levels, it prevents haters to insult or leave because they face a lvl 50+.

First 3 Rounds lasted 5min at maximum on objective Underground and Chapel: The first Team was fully Premade vs a so and so random team, the second and third where randomly put together but the teams were not even close to even: one was smashing my team the second was smashed by my team. It’s not fun to loose or even win like that. There is no fun, you can’t try out mercs because if you’re not taking your best mercs you are just doomed.
On execution i played one round 4 (my team) vs 6, and we won 7 to 4 with no challenge at all…
My Suggestion is, to stay with the server browser but analyse the square level of the server and make a maximum and minimum level restriction.
Also put a penalty in the gameplay, because playing against a 30+ team with 10- teammates is not fun. and i had it a few times, that my teammates just switched to the enemy team.
It’s nice to play this game but please keep the funpart in it. If i want to challenge myself, i would play ranked.

you are wrong, test was about to make sure everything is fine to start ranked season. You dont know much lol

It’s unclear to me whether this was all just to test something for Ranked (which I don’t like, and it would be nice if you just let the ranked players test this stuff), or the idea is to introduce this for non-ranked play (in which case, please just don’t).

The only thing from this test I would like to see added to regular play is the ability to create and join a game as a team, so I can play WITH my friends instead of being split across both teams and one of us has to keep pressing tab to see whether he can switch. But who in his right mind would want to exchange the immediate-join of a server browser for waiting for minutes to find a game, then waiting for minutes to join the game, only to ultimately be kicked out because apparently one of the 16 players couldn’t connect/accept? Just those stupid 15 seconds you have to wait upon joining a game in progress are annoying enough (especially if they make you miss the start of an Execution round by a second or 2).

Well just 1 thing
Just make auto balance at the start of a match, just auto shuffle, so each team will have high lvl players and noobs cuz if the game like all players hmmm lets say lvl 20!! its not fun -_-

Have you played on a min 20 server yet? These days they are rare to fill up, but once you get a 6vs6 going, it almost always results in fun moves, nice teamwork, decent tactics and an overall GG for both teams.

Sorry but I am a guy that believes in the saying “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” and the regular “server browser” option was perfectly fine! I am sitting in a queue for 5 mins for what exactly!!! I was able to join whatever match I wanted in seconds now I got a 5 min wait to get put into one I may not want to be in…

Sorry but now I doubt I am going to play until test is over as I got other games I can play that don’t put me in some queue for 5 mins.

The server browser will still be in the game after CMM releases.

My thought about CMM matchmaking is…meh. After 20 hours of gameplay.

Sometimes i get paired with a balanced team, sometimes not.

But the most annoying problems is about the players who join on an already started match…where they can be both veterans >50 level, or total clueless players <5 level. So you’ll get an unbalanced match where you will stomp the enemies or getting spawnkilled

@diabolicalZuchinni That’s not CMM what you are talking about. CMM was tested for just a few hours and is not in-game at the moment. What you are talking about is the current quick join/joining which has no or hardly any matchmaking behind it.

Just implement this and you save the game. Best thing for the community and game future and i have no doubt abou it.
