Casual Matchmaking Test - Feedback/Bug Megathread

Hey all!

First of all, thank you for taking part in our Casual Matchmaking test. Please leave all of your feedback, thoughts and advice in this thread! Casual Matchmaking will be live for you to test from 17:00 - 20:00 UTC+1.

Before you make a post please do a quick check to see if anyone else has reported the issue you have experienced. If so, simply up-vote their comment and we’ll know the severity of issues.

Format bug reports: When putting a bug into the comments below make sure that you give us as much information as you can. If you can remember any of the events leading up to the issue it can help us find the cause quicker.

  • [li]Type of Bug: Eg. Gameplay bug, HUD and in game UI, Frontend UI etc. [/li][li]Description: Describe what the bug is and what happened in the moments leading up to and after the incident. [/li][li]Video / Screenshot: If you can grab a screenshot (which you can do through steam) or a video recording of the issue it would be useful for us. We’ll be going through each and every bug which is posted here. If you don’t get a reply, don’t worry. Just rest assured knowing we have made note of your issue and it will be addressed when possible.

stopwatch is missing :frowning:
my first 5 games was: chapel, chapel, bridge, chapel, chapel then I removed chapel from my list of maps…
one macht didnt start because one player got scared and he run away
one because of one didnt accept
at the end it was bitt bugged… we was all in and it did not start the server cause some timeout… i think because the test was over (21:00 UTC+1) after restart of the game the old menu was back and no alpha matchmaking available

that i liked:
no ranks shown… --> less complaints about unfair teams only because of the levels
the first 3-4 games feel realy good balanced

that i not liked so much:
missing stopwatch
the to much chapel … dont know why this happened
the rest of the games doesnt feel so balanced like the first one…

Feedback:

#1) No SW Mode (Sad)
#2) First Match Found and went in right away and played fast - We won and crashed to desktop
#3) Match 2 took a little while to find and was kicked to lobby once. Was good we lost a player and still won,

It appears I was matched against and with and against total noobs… I asked what levels people were and I got 5-17 for mostly everyone… Im level 95… Min level 10 had better match making then this…

The “Recent Matches” tab and end stat screen is very cool! I really like the window pop up. It is only missing one thing! Somewhere there should be leaders or some type of over all stat that shows who carried or something to compare to everyone. Right now we have individual stats but there needs to be a collection tab that totals most damage, kills and everything else. Right now you have to scroll over everyone and mentally remember if you had the most kills or most damage.

Other then a few bugs, people leaving, crashes to desktop and unbalanced matching making it seems great.

  • Not really sure why I am playing against or with players that are lower then level 10 or low skilled.
    ---- IF SD says its to balance out players because the other team has a low level that is utter BS! I do not want to be around a player of that low of skill…

EDIT: Someone also paused the match which was super annoying and then /quit…

Found match 3 times, then as match about to start kicked back to lobby 3 times. Frustrated me enough to quit.

2/10 kicked off the lobby , I noticed an improvement in fps without ups and downs , were stable . good! I found matches in 10 seconds. keep it up!

Missed it. Too much work that week, didn’t get to play DB. Hope you bring it back.
