We’re having issues at the moment. Queuing to get a game should generally be quite quick. We’ll keep you up to date with how things are going. Thanks for your patience!
Wonderful! Now, I have to get back to real life! See real people, talk to them. WTF!
Posting this 10 minutes into searching for a match, maximum skill range allowed was found a while ago. If the server browser worked, I’d have been playing 9.5 minutes ago.
I appreciate that this is an alpha and things need to be tested but I have plenty of other games I could play instead so I may as well go enjoy myself instead of seeing how long I can stay tabbed out of DB without spawning as AFK.
ETA: Gave up, may try again later when there might be more people on the servers.
UPDATE! We have ended the test early and reverted the game back to it’s original state. Thank you for your patience. Happy fragging!
@sympatheticMotorcycle Exact Feeling … This month is being so terrible for SD … First the Patch and now this
@stayfreshshoe i would, if i wasnt getting kicked out of every game for no reason
And people wonder why it is still called a Beta. Good luck with figuring it out and fixing whatever broke.
Well, for NA at least, these are NOT peak times. Maybe they are for EU.
The problem isn’t strictly that there wasn’t enough people queueing however. If the server browser is going to remain available to the player so they can circumvent the usage of the matchmaking then you need to incorporate “games in progress” (and really improve the balancing of ‘games in progress’ with an intelligent ‘auto-balancer’ when someone leaves or even if one team is up one player) in to the matchmaking queue. It needs to be made clear that “winning” in a pub grants very small gains compared to losing, and that auto-balance should take priority over winning to the player base. We need live mid-game MMR calculations (and I mean long standing MMR, not “how did I do the last 8 games” which I hear the system is currently using) that will auto-balance teams (even if, they are only uneven by 1 player, a player is switched to best balance the over-all MMR of the teams). Also, this auto-balance needs to be sure to put an equal amount of “new players” (TBD MMR, so sub-level 5/sub-level 7 players) on each team to the best of it’s ability. I should not be punished for having a very high MMR by getting 5 level 2s on my team while I face a bunch of level 10s to 30s. This is a big one, because most games don’t incorporate a new player protocol in their matchmaking and it causes a lot of grief for everyone.
The player base is particularly low right now because of all the incredibly annoying bugs that have sprung up with the last patch. (I mean come on guys, you really need some better QA or something,)
So… Should I get to play or just queu during this alpha test?
I have queued for 12 mins now…
