It’s only called a Beta test. For a game that monetizes its microtransactions is open to criticism in my eyes as a full product. And i criticise matchmaking.

Even a full game could roll out features that are still in testing phase. See for example TF2 gamemodes (ages ago though) and ranked or somethingsomething matchmaking.

So whatever your stance is on Beta tag on the game overall it has nothing to do with alpha-testing of Casual Matchmaking.
