Capture updated screenies

Its been awhile since I’ve offically worked on my map considering all the errors I’ve had and restarts lol.

The following screenies arent much but it does goto show I’m still working on it :slight_smile:

(This one is of the allies spawn zone which is around the corner of the road tunnel also in there is a door which will lead out to another location so spawn camping will be abit hard)

(Allies very first objective is to blow this wall wide open allowing access in the the Axis compound)

(As I said with the first screenie, this is the 2nd escape point from the spawn point for allies)

(The main gates, if allies which they can open these gates after blowing the wall to allow faster access, also Axis may close these gates once opened)

(This section is behind the Allies objective (wall) this was placed to give cover from the mg42 sitting on the lower floor of the watch tower)

(Axis watch tower, as you can see its rather boring I ain’t too sure on how it should look, still working with it though but in the mean time any ideas anyone?)

(Bridge which will allow Allies and Axis to cross the river, if they wish. On other side is what I like too call The Sniper Ground :slight_smile: it will be full of tree’s and grass)

(The Sniper Ground so far not much added yet just droped em in to get a feel of it.

(And finally on the Axis side are some rails which should hopefully stop ya’s from falling off into the water, plus its a nice affect.

Remember still only new and that but I am paying very close attention to detail. Texture range is from customs textures I’ve picked up from other ppl or from my years of surfing and also the standard textures.

Large map with alot of thinking needed to survive.

Within the Axis compound (the bunkers which I be doing next) will be a full scaled thing, going from a small holding cell, storage area, research labs. This is the main Axis compound where it all starts :slight_smile:

Hope ya’s like what I have so far. Feedback with ideas and such be greatfull :slight_smile:

Edit: I made the screenies brighter so everyone can see it with ease, its a night time map so its abit darker in game.

Well gee thanks for the positive feedback I’m very sorry that I’m a newbie too it all.

Wait a sec why should I honestly listen to you? you seem to have no idea on what your talking about since you can’t see that the map is still in construction stage and I ain’t done much.

And if ya ain’t got nothing to say such as ideas on to imporve the map then doesn’t say nothing at all.

apart from the textures being tiled the landscape looks very nice. its curved and looks natural :smiley:

being as the map is only in contruction I cant give any comments yet :wink:

You should look at the landscape textures. They look very repetive now. (always the same). Btw, the rest looks good :slight_smile:

but, theres somethign thats REALLY bugging me… hardcore texture repeating.
please change this. stretch your textures or something… :slight_smile:

Looks like you left your terrain shader off shaderlist.txt, that tends to scale down the texture like that :slight_smile:

Constructions are looking nice :cool:

I like the screenie with this wood-bridge…good construction.
And the tile-effect of the landscape looks not really nice! :wink:

If your using easygen for your terrain, you might want to make sure the textures are in a 1:1 aspect ratio - it looks like they are .5 . 5 or something even smaller, so they look a little too ‘panelled’. Or maybe its just that the map is on such a big scale, and you need to break up the monotony with trees, shrubbery, distance fog, texture variation… something like that.

It seems like you have a lot of empty space, maybe you should scale down that terrain map as well.

You have some pretty cool elements in your map, i especially like the rope bridge across the gorge. But right now it seems like everything is spread out a little too much.

Yuh I did use easygen with a 5 ratio cause it was quicker lol but don’t worry it will be fixed, its good enough now though.

With the empty space errr its rather confusing in away, cause the Barrier Wall is what I went from. Meaning once the Barrier Wall made the correct length everything else should fall into place. If not I guess I can just create terrain to cover it all up :slight_smile:

Look like everyone likes my bridge, good 4hrs went into that lol and it still needs work.

Has anyone got any screenies of a watch tower, I done a search on google the other day, and all that I found were watch towers for pow camps and such not excatly what I’m looking for.

Trying to create my first bunker ain’t going so well, using alot of bunker picture for reference could end up being a mixture of bunkers.
