I’d rather have change ups in levels instead of capture the flag. Like three different sets of objectives for each level. Say security tower. Maybe when you have to get to that access panel they could have 3 different places for it. And you don’t know where it will be until you spawn.
Then, you have to hack the safe. But there’s 3 safes and you don’t know which one you’re supposed to hack until you blow the conduit behind the access panel. So maybe you’ll have to go up some stairs and set up camp. Maybe it’s in the basement somewhere. Maybe it’s in that room off the courtyard where you get nechayev.
Then you have to take the code to an access panel. Obviously this should stay the same. But maybe you could get lucky and have an access door that reduces some distance and is easier to get to.
Now get this. Maybe the escort hostage person could have 2 different routes that he could take. Like instead of going through and getting up those stairs outside he would have to go through up the stairs and come out further back in the courtyard. Like maybe he would walk out of the room that has the command post.
He would have a slightly different route. That would really change up the way matches play out. Also it would prevent boredom because the missions would play out slightly different.
Obviously you can’t do this with every level. But I think it’s possible to move objectives around in reference to where they are in the level and the strategy you use to get them. Like on CCity you could have it so you repair the crane from some fuse box nearby but not up in the crane. OR you could have the container that has the package move somewhere else. Even if it was slightly different it would spice things up. Like maybe if the gate is easier to blow in some way at the beginning because you can blow some support holding it up at the beginning that’s easier to get to then you would have to go further to get the package. Or the crane would take longer to repair.
Just throw a bunch of variables in there so you don’t know EXACTLY what you’re doing next but you have a general idea of where to head. That way people don’t go on autopilot. That’d be much cooler then capture the flag.
