Cant switch to windowed mode

So i used a config for my game and now when i start it it messes up my resolution. Its in fullscreen with a resolution bigger than my screen. I have to change it every time from the game settings but its lagging. How can i keep windowed mode on?

It’s worth noting that Windowed Mode will tend to result in lower frames and increased input delay. If you’re using a custom config, ensure that the config isn’t telling your game to boot in Fullscreen, so you may have to edit the settings within the config. As for being in-game, settings that you change while your in a game tend not to stay that way upon re-launch, whereas settings changed in the menus tend to stay that way more often then not. As for the resolution, is it safe to assume you’re playing from a laptop? As having a “resolution bigger than my screen” would be caused from have a laptop (or an old computer monitor). As previously mentioned, if it is the custom config causing the game to boot in a resolution you’re not comfortable with, consider editing the config. Can you elaborate on the kind of lagg you’re experiencing?

Borderless Fullscreen mode too, it also makes the game laggy and delays input.
