So starting about two weeks ago, DirtyBomb ALWAYS updates when I open Steam, despite the fact that I’ve turned automatic updating for DB off every time it tries. I’m not interested in playing at the moment. I pause and cancel the update, then switch auto-update off, but it just switches itself back on every time Steam starts. Background downloads are also disabled, but DB doesn’t seem to care. What’s going on?

I don’t think it’s problem on DB side, it seems like Steam issue.
Honestly, if you don’t want to play after update, either download it overnight or uninstall it.
