Can't repair a moving EV with the engineer !

So today I had time to mess around with the engineer class and since it was a 1vs1, I had plenty of opportunities to drive and repair the EV.

Now from what I have seen, if the EV gets damaged but not completely (meaning it is still moving while you are next to it), and you attempt to repair it with the repair tool it won’t work !

If you try to repair a moving EV with the repair tool, you just get in the mounted gun of the EV.

Is it done on purpose so we can’t repair it continuously ? I guess this is the corollary to the airstrike problematic we are encountering no ?

I noticed the same thing. All this stuff is likely work on progress. I would like the option to repair while on the move, but things are currently stacked in favour of the repairing team as it is. Hopefully we’ll get to mess around with this stuff in future patches.

Can’t help but remember the bunch of engineers behind the MCP in ET:QW, awesome memories. I really hope too that this will be featured soon

in ETQW there is vehicles and massive weapons so it’s normal to be able to repair it when it moves.
But right now I think it’s better that way. You can repair it so quick.
If you do something like this you need a bigger time to repair it.

I’m not too worried about the EV at all. Like you said Bombak, it’s typically something that should be balanced after we get the full scala of weaponry.

Indeed, it could be considered if the airstrike gains more damage, all in due time I believe ^^
