Can't move unless crouching

Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyone’s experienced this before. Randomly during a match I won’t be able to move unless I hold my CTRL key, which is currently set as crouch. Once I start moving, I can then move freely until I stop, at which point I again have to press CTRL. This will happen randomly for anywhere from a minute to a whole stopwatch half, and may or may not spontaneous resolve. It happens maybe 1 out of every 10-15 matches I have. I’m running through steam, and it doesn’t matter what character I’m using.

I feel like this might be a system problem as opposed to an actual bug, but wanted to check it out.

Did you figure out what causes this? It’s happening to me and it is beyond frustrating. I will randomly be running and I will just stop. I can’t move, switch weapons, attack, or use abilities until I start spamming the hell out of my crouch key. It happens consistently once a life and is usually the cause of my deaths. It is infuriating. I know it has nothing to do with keybindings, and I would normally assume it’s an issue with my keyboard (Black widow Ultimate) But this is the only game it happens in and I’ve tested my keyboard input multiple times and everything checks out. What gives?

I never figured out exactly what caused it. I ended up getting a new keyboard, and it no longer happens. But yeah, it was incredibly frustrating, and it only occurred in dirty bomb.

Was your old keyboard a Razor Blackwidow? I just replaced my keyboard today and I still have the issue. However, I replaced it with the exact same model.
