Can't launch the game

Hello friends, hope this is the right section for my answers.
I have recently got a key from a random guy and I decided to download the game. After having downloaded from 0% to 100% I cant launch the game due to an error : Dirty Bomb has partnered with Valve! As we finalize the Steam implementation over the holidays, the live service will be suspended. Dirty Bomb live service will return in January on Steam, so stay tuned to the forums and your email for more information.
I have used my key on the Nexon launcher.
What do I have to do? Do you guys get the same thing? Should I just wait?

you’ll need a new key for Steam, they aren’t transferable

Oh, so I have just wasted my key using it on the Nexon launcher?

Yeah this is precisely the situation I’m in, can I convert my key from Nexon to Steam somewhere?

Nexon Launcher keys don’t work with Steam, so no you didn’t waste it, it wouldn’t have worked anyway.

It’s not possible to convert them, people that played regularly before the Steam move should have been emailed a key, people that didn’t play yet can either “sign-up for the beta” and wait, although key waves are given out very infrequently, or look at the social medias, twitch, forums, or community for giveaways.
