Hi, a few days ago I was playing Dirty Bomb (love it by the way) and my PC froze up, no problem, it’s happened a few times before, so I pressed the restart button on my PC. I reopened Steam and went to relaunch Dirty Bomb, when the game wouldn’t open. I checked Task Manager and the process appears for approximately 10 seconds and gathers CPU usage (around 18% maximum) and then the usage drops and the process disappears. The anti-cheat logo in the bottom right of the screen doesn’t even appear.
I’ve tried several things to remedy it:
Verifying game cache
Uninstalling, deleting the Dirty Bomb folder and then reinstalling
Running Steam and the game’s executable as admin
Running the game’s executable in compatibility mode for Windows 8.
Restarting my PC
Obviously, none of these solutions work, and the fact I’ve reinstalled the game and it still doesn’t work makes no sense to me.
My PC Specs:
AMD 6350 6-Core CPU
AMD R9270X Sapphire TOXIC Edition GPU
ASUS M5A99X Evo R2.0 Motherboard
Install Drive is a Samsung 840 EVO SSD
Windows 10
As far as I’m aware I have the latest drivers, but my drivers haven’t changed since the issue.
Thanks, hope I can get some help.
