Can't join Servers

There seems to be a server related problem.

There are two servers that are just hung up showing the same map and playercount since yesterday:
Infinity Zero Brink Server 1
Infinity Zero Brink Server 2

Above are also “stuck.” HLSW reports them as timedout. They still must be connecting to master server somehow or master server not updating ? It seems more people are reporting difficulty connecting to servers. Maybe the two things are related ?

I think the two servers I couldn’t connect two last night are also “stuck.”

They both have the exact same player count they had last night. Not sure if the map is the same?

I get this on a lot of servers, including a lot of the ones listed here.

It sits at connecting message, then spits back a “Timed out” error.

yep I’m in the same boat, connection times out when trying to join a server. I am able to connect to one server that is only running the DLC maps, but can’t seem to connect to any others unless they are empty servers.

Hi Same here. It seems i can’t connect new servers since DLC. I see many new servers with free slots but i always have a connection timeout. No problem to connect those i had before DLC … But i would love to try new ones

I wonder if all the servers will reappear after the free DLC is over. if I could I’d delete it, but steam will just re download it on me :\

First you screw up the game’s performance (You still owe the gaming world an excuse why the game requires at least a Core i5 or a very fast Phenom II to run halfway fluently) and nao this?

You guys don’t seem to realize that you have a reputation to lose. Most folk out there hold Splash Damage in very high esteem, don’t jeopardize this by letting your coders do their work whilst being drunk.

I am having this problem as well (PC version). It’s a shame because there are a number of active servers now since the free weekend + sale, but there is only one of them I can connect to. All of the others give me a server time out. I’ve had the game since release and this wasn’t a problem until recently.

So is this issue at least being investigated? It feels a bit like slap in your face for true SD fans who played Brink even when there weren’t that many players…

Yes it is being investigated and its a server issue with hung up servers

Those three servers are still “hung” but reporting players online. Very shortly these three servers will take gametracker ranks 1, 2 and 3.

Just tried to play now and the same servers are apparently “stuck” that were stuck two days ago with the same player counts. Is this going to be fixed?

Exact same problem here, I thought it was just me for some reason… nice to see I’m not the only one with this sudden problem. Game worked fine a few weeks ago before update.

It was doing this BEFORE I installed the DLC, and After.

I’m having the same problem with the servers mentioned, but it I have the problem with like %90 of the servers, not just a few “hung” ones. I try to connect unill it says “timed out.” I’m having this problem with both 16 slot and 8 clot servers.

None of these servers can be played on. They no longer even show up on HLSW. Gametracker do not show any interest and delete any posts made to their “report a bug” forum. Many gamers use gametracker to find the most popular servers. This reflects badly.

Right I am getting a bit sick of this and its getting worse. Servers I was happily playing on not so long ago are now no longer letting me join them. I get “connection error - timed out” if I bother to wait for the client to respond.

I cannot play a single sodding game at the moment and its beginning to really hack me off.

The ping on the servers is usually between 30 and 50 and have spare slots yet I cannot join them. Even Oh My Brink has stopped responding. Grrrr…

Oh My™Brink server hung today but has been rebooted.It was round about 15:00 UK time.Let me know Cep if you have any further problems. I hope not, but if you do maybe we can try work it out what is happening.

I cannot join !Oh My™Brink server. I have restarted it and run update(several times),I have deleted some older console log files from server, restarted steam on my own pc and rebooted pc. None of the above works. I can join other servers just not !Oh My™Brink. I am assuming no one else can join it. Other than reinstalling the server (which I don’t want to ahve to do as yet) has anyone any suggestions. I have server console log files if they are required.
