can't find .PRT file

hi i’m kind of a noob in mapping but i try

here’s my prob
I work with GTKradiant 1.5.0
I made a little map it’s almost finished but then i wanted to add ammo and health cabinets
I added the cabs
no problem i could still play the map. but when i added a trigger classname trigger_ammo or trigger_health around the boxes it doesn’t compile any more. I do Q3map2: (test) BSP ,-meta ,-vis ,-light ,-fast ,-filter

it normally shows three windows but then it only shows 2 and on the second it says he can’t find the .PRT file. but i don’t got any .PRT files
and wen i run the map in ET it says that the map has no nodes

plz help me

Your map is probably leaked.
Therefor is does not complete the -meta compile proces and thus does not create a .PRT file.
The -vis compile stage needs the PRT file (and will delete it after it has been used, unless specifially stated otherwise) to work.

Keep a close eye on the first ‘window’ during compiling, that should say “*** MAP LEAKED ***” Or something along those lines.

So yeah, your map is probably leaked.

You say you added health and ammo cabs, you might have put an entity outside your map by accident or something like that?

If you don’t know what “leaked” is, do a search for it on this forum, it will tell you what you need.

Make sure your doing -saveprt in the vis stage, ie “-vis -saveprt -v”.

Try http://www.bobdev.com/q3map2build.php for compiling your maps.

ty it works now

but now i got another problem
i’ll try to post a pic of it but photobucket is slow
I load the map up in ET when its loaded i get the load screen
my crosshair and the start timer

I know this explanation sucks bur i’ll try to post a pic

your info_player_start or _deathmatch is out of teh map? lol :smiley:
